  The Refuge is a church of a wide diversity of people! Anyone is welcome and the pastor Larry Goodman is a man of God who loves all and the church doesn't have discriminations. It is a safe place to go and great place to either accept Jesus into your life or, if you already have Jesus in your heart and soul you can experience the power of the holy spirit.   This church is so welcoming. Come as you are type of place. I love watching on line as well when I can't make it to the church. The pastor does some of the best preaching I've heard in a very long time. Love this church and would recommend it to everyone!

  The Refuge welcomes everyone! It doesn’t look like most congregations - it’s a bit more...raw. It’s this messy, broken, transparent, beautifully eclectic body earnestly living out the Good News and there is very little show or pretense. Real people sharing the good and the bad with each other, connected and covered by the beautiful grace of God. Pastor Goodwin breaks down the Bible into easy to understand messages that encourage and inspire you to connect personally with Jesus and challenges you to grow. It’s a great place to belong!

  Love my church and church family. Great pastor! They are real not judgemental but full of love for ALL people. They bring us the GOOD NEWS! God loves us all without condemnation and judgement. God isn't standing there waiting on us to fall so we can be beat up or condemned for our faults and imperfections. The GOOD NEWS is and always will be that Christ died for our sins and loves us! There is NO CONDEMNATION TO THOSE WHO ARE IN CHRIST. THE END!!!

  The Refuge church is a place of loving,caring people. We have all been threw stuff in our lives, some drugs,others alcohol, abusive relationships,divorce ,death, you name it,I guarantee you someone there feel or has been where your at, we don't judge we accept and love you just like Jesus does. If you need a church to go to or a place just to visit please come worship with us P.S. the Holy Spirit resides here. God bless each and everyone who reads this for its your glory not ours we are just the workers. In Jesus name I pray amen

  I have never personally been to the refuge church but I am a Denison elementary school teacher. This church shows us the meaning of serving others by always providing us amazing treats and we are so thankful to the refuge church and their servants!   I fell in love with church the first time I went. Pastor Larry reminds me of my old Pastor who passed away years ago. I haven't felt this way in a long time. So glad that I found this place and glad that I'm a part of this church now.
