Visiting this convent was a truly special and peaceful experience. The monks live a life of prayer, fasting, and obedience, dedicating their days to spiritual devotion and humble work. They live simply—working on the farm, cooking for guests, and serving with grace and kindness. The atmosphere is incredibly serene and sacred, making it easy to disconnect from the outside world and focus inward. The church is beautiful, and though the trip was short, it left a deep impression on me. I truly hope to return and experience that peace again. It’s a place that stays with you long after you leave.

This is the most blessed place in Texas. You will get blessed and peace and calm. When you go visit it is different when you leave. More blessings will be in your life. When you pray to God and Monks pray for us too. In God we believe.

Thank you to all of the Abounas and Brothers who made our stay here unforgettable. This environment gave such a good opportunity for quiet time with God. The churches offer both arabic and english services to serve a variety of people. The bookstore is fully stocked with every patristic writing, commentary, etc. you can think of. The food was phenomenal. Everything about this place is wonderful, and I don’t know how people leave. This was my first time visiting but surely will not be my last.
