I completed the Adult First Holy Communion and Confirmation program at St. Mark's. The classes themselves were very informative, and I learned a great deal about the Catholic faith. Unfortunately, the registration process and overall organization of the program were disappointing. Unlike many parishes that require all paperwork and meetings with the priest to be completed before classes begin to determine eligibility, St. Mark's allows participants to complete these requirements during the program. This means someone could pay the class fee, attend several weeks of classes, and only later discover they are not eligible to receive the sacraments. Another frustration was the delay in receiving sacramental certificates. After Confirmation, the program director, Simone, informed us that certificates would not be available for pickup for approximately three weeks. This was disappointing because some participants need these documents promptly for important milestones such as baptismal sponsorship or marriage preparation. Overall, the classes were educational and worthwhile, but the administrative side of the program needs improvement. If you need your sacraments completed as quickly as possible and prefer a more organized process, you may want to consider St. Stephen’s as I had friends get their sacraments there with no issues.

This church denies real reverence to the body of Christ. Unfortunately I have to attend this church again because a family member is getting confirmed in 2 weeks. I hope you don’t tell me to get up while receiving communion. I always kneel while receiving the body of Christ. And I looked it up the priest has no right to deny anyone who chooses to kneel while receiving the body of Christ. So get it together. I come from Dallas
