A very traditional and solemn place for worship that provides great reverence. The choir specially with heavenly voices add to meaningful meditation. The congregation were properly dressed for the occasion. The experience you get from attending mass here is what was lost in many churches. What a great way to experience holiness.

Came down from Dallas, TX to celebrate the feast of St. Joseph the Worker and the first Saturday to Our Lady. What better way to celebrate the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass at the FSSP Chapel in Tyler, TX.

If you like the Latin Tridentine mass, then this church is for you. I been here 3 to 4 times, the church is mostly packed with people. The Church is rather small and Sometimes a few people have to stand throughout the whole service. The mass usually takes an hour and 20 minutes to an hour and a half, in which is the norm for the LTM. Confessions are usually 20 minutes before mass, however, if you wait in line for confession and the priest finishes before the appointment time for mass, he will not come back and pick up where he left off for those who waited in line and weren’t able to make it. The people mostly keep to themselves and their friends and pears. It could be more welcoming! 🇺🇸🦅

My family has been attending this parish for over 21 years now, and the biggest thing that has changed since 21 years ago is the SIZE of this parish. The community is wonderful and it is growing, and growing FAST! This is a wonderful thing, and we are working on building a larger parish to accommodate more people. I am extremely pleased that this community continues to be very welcoming to newcomers, and the community is most certainly young and vibrant! Praise God!

We had a very sad experience. We wish the community was more welcoming to visitors. My young children had to stand for the whole Mass because the ladies sitting in the pews had their purses and billeting next to them using an extra sit. Very strange to witness that in a community that should be more welcoming. Not desire at all to visit again.

This is a wonderful community of traditional Catholics. The chapel is small (for now), but it has everything it needs for a fantastic Latin mass. The Gregorian chants from the chior at High Mass are top-notch as well!

Very nice to go to a Latin Mass. I really appreciate the reverence for the Blessed Sacrament I saw from the congregation. I do wish I saw more concern for the new variant of COVID-19 there. My friend and I were the only ones that wore masks. It felt a bit odd especially when I personally knew two folks that died from it that very week.

Very traditional tho I have not been there since early 2018. I do know that the FSSP (the priestly order here) is approved by Rome, and the priests seem to be devoted, upright men, and very old-style Catholics, mass in Latin as before 1962.. Generally don't expect the kind of greeting you would get at other churches as the traditional mass is reverent, and congregation is focused, quiet, for the most part, and there is not, well not ANY hand shaking and greeting each other inside the chapel. Best to wear head covering and a skirt.After mass they usually have a potluck type greeting in the hall, tho, as said, that was in early 2018

We went here to see it. It is beautiful. Fr. Valentine is kind. We will be attending every third week when my husband is on duty and we can't make it to St. Peter's in Mineola. God is good!
