Great venue in the making! Restoring it so well. It hosted the farmers market tonight, even had excellent food trucks and live music from a young talented guy, named Truman. The atmosphere is wonderful. They are restoring the historical convent, it is worth seeing! Come check it out.

I've been obsessed with this place since I was a little girl, when it was run down and abandoned. The history, the beauty .. I love it. I am so glad that they're restoring it as saving a piece of history. The people of Stanton are working so hard to bring it back to life. It's amazing the hard work they have put in, so we can keep it alive for generations to come.

This is St. Joseph's Carmelite Monastery and Convent, now called, The Plaza. Free parking in the small gated lot with additional parking in an adjacent lot where the RV park is located. On Tuesday evenings the 1st and 3rd weeks of the month, they have Farmers Market and Makers Market in warm months. They normally have live music and food trucks. There is usually a snow cone truck and one other truck for main dish type meals. Sometimes, dogs are available for adoption. In the fall, they have a Pumpkin Walk for the family and Contest. At Christmas they have a celebration and market with activies for all of the family. The activities include a sleigh ride, crafts, stories, popcorn, picture opportunities, hot drinks, and Christmas music. Costume characters such as Elf on the Shelf are present as well. For Easter, they have an Easter Egg Hunt for children. For the 4th of July they have a concert with a locally famous band and dancing and food trucks as well as the Farmers Market and Makers Market.
