Beautiful church with a very welcoming and sincere priest, Fr. James. We appreciated him coming and chatting with us after Mass and sharing more about the rebuild and little details throughout the church.

Upon walking into this beautiful church, it immediately gives you that welcoming and peaceful aura. Then when the Liturgy started, the choir set me back a few years when worship service was real, simple and beautiful. When the priest began his homily you could tell he was a really good shepherd that cared for the community because he did not read a lengthy theological sermon. He spoke from the heart in what matters most for the congregation. I remember before the service started, i was early and just parked my car on the side. As i started walking toward the church, a gentleman approached me and cautioned me to watch my step because the ground was uneven and could be sleepery. Later as the service started, i saw the same gentleman again up in the altar. He was the priest, the Pastor of his flock. I could tell that the people of Terrell love their faith and appreciate Rev. Fr. James Orozco because it was a standing room only service, yet everyone stayed for the final blessing.

This Friday did a beautiful Hispanic wedding transportation service out here with my company Lone Star SUV & Limo LLC this is a beautiful church located in Terrell Texas and perfect for a wedding ceremony our clients made a great choice in their selection for ceremony. Very well-maintained church & property!

Such a beautiful Catholic Church and so welcoming!!!! Father JAMES came up to me after Mass and introduced himself! When I shared that I was a visitor he proudly gave me a tour of his beautiful church. He was so welcoming and caring. It was a blessed moment that I shall treasure forever. Love St John the Apostle Catholic Church!!!

I had the worst interaction with the Priest over the phone. We’re looking for a new church and was recommended this one, after the secretary answered and dismissed me after 30sec because I don’t live in the area I should’ve just not insisted, but I did. Since when aren’t you able to attend a different church outside of your area ( where in the Bible does it say that, when did God say I will only serve specific areas). First red flag! After, giving my information to a different lady she told me the Father would call me, he did and he was very rude and telling me I need to attend a different church since I didn’t live in Terrell, after I explained to him that they charge for sacraments and what not, he said no they don’t ma’am just go fill the form in Kaufman it’s so easy “why are you making it harder than it is” I explained to him that not only I’ve had this problem, he started getting upset and telling me ma’am listen your making it harder than it is. I raised my voice because he wouldn’t let me speak and told him okay thanks I’ll call them again, since it’s so simple (mind you I have spoke to the Kaufman church several times). He hung up on me because I kept telling him okay thanks I’ll do that. Ive attended different churches trying to find the one that fits my family and this is not it. Thanks for one of the worst (phone conversations) with a father. At the end of the day all they care about is money and not God!!! Run the other way! Don’t attend here!

The second empty church so far today, what can I do to get some blessed water? I used to be an altarboy and I can't find help when I need it. Then people wonder why people change for other churches, This is why. My house is hell, I need holy water and my own church left me alone.

I grew up in this church. I did all my sacraments there, except for marriage. This place is beautiful inside and out. The people are lovers of Christ and the preacher always has a good message that connects to the audience. If you are catholic this is a great place to call home.

Wonderful church full of vibrant families of all ages. Get there early because we had to stand in the back with our grandson. Better ushers could have seated more people but it's a great problem to have in a parish.

I really like this church! I like the priest Father James, he gives very down to earth homilies with powerful messages! He makes Jesus come to life! I like the people who go to daily mass, they make me forget the craziness in the world! Plus make me realize there are good decent Catholics in the world!
