We found out today that we are losing our dear priest, yet another one, who hasn't even been here a year. This present day idea that priests need to be moved around often is damaging to those parishioners left behind because in a good situation, with a great priest and leader, we are a FAMILY. We form bonds with each other AND our priest--our father. Our priest has grown our church and made changes that have made us stronger and more proud of our church home. We want to work harder to represent her, Mother Church and take care of her. Bishops need to understand that we parishioners are not just donations, but real, live human beings with souls and connections and emotions. We needed our priest to make our church whole. Now that he is being taken away, it hurts. Bishops should care more. At the very least, they could tell us why. So we are here and listening. That is IF the Bishop of our diocese would like to tell us why. Good luck Father. We love you and will miss you deeply. Take care. ❤

Visited Saturday Mass as protestant guests. Beautiful atmosphere, reverence in abundance, wonderful homily. Left with a catholic husband. Five stars.

I love this church. It is a small country church just outside of Gilmer. The people and clergy are very friendly and the masses are at reasonable times during the day. Good sermons from the current priest as well.

It's a small clean catholic church. Very small congregation. Lawn is well maintained. Otherwise rather unremarkable.
