This is a church that wants the community to succeed and brings love to everything they do. They are welcoming to those who want good things for others in the world and work to make good things happen. Every Sunday they talk about how much of an impact their food pantry has on people. This is the church that does what their teachings tell them to do. They let unhoused sleep in the church and act as a cold weather shelter when needed.

A church that is love-forward was an eye-opening experience. Highly recommended!

My partner and I visited this church after seeing their marquee with messages like “Love is love” and “Equality hurts no one.” After hearing Jim Rigby speak, we were moved to tears and decided this might be the place to heal wounds we’d received from the churches we grew up in. “Every way of compassion, every road of peace, every life-giving path is welcome here” are the opening lines to worship. Even though I’m not a Christian, I was welcomed as a member and to participate in worship services.

They're reopening soon! Inspiring worship, intelligent sermons and stimulating classes. Their ministries include a food pantry and a homeless meal night. It is truly a progressive, caring church!

St. Andrew's is a welcoming congregation with many ministries. Someone ranted about a ministry to the homeless affecting day care, but there has been no day care for 10 years. Best termed progressive, this congregation isn't afraid of asking questions and exploring deeper meanings to scripture. All are welcome!

Great pastor, truly welcoming church. Presbyterians kind people, not angry at anyone or anything like some other faiths. Spirituality spoken here not dogma.

Warm and caring progressive church. The definition from wikipedia accurately portrays the pastor and the congregation: "Progressive Christianity is a form of Christianity which is characterized by a willingness to question tradition, acceptance of human diversity, a strong emphasis on social justice and care for the poor and the oppressed, and environmental stewardship of the earth. Progressive Christians have a deep belief in the centrality of the instruction to "love one another" (John 15:17) within the teachings of Jesus Christ. This leads to a focus on promoting values such as compassion, justice, mercy, and tolerance, often through political activism.

Best Love in Action we have found-- meaning inclusive of all beliefs and religions, work together for social justice, peace, voting, feeding the poor and families without homes, housing a Mama and Son Immigrants for years, and working for a Sustainable Earth for our kids and grandkids, Plus lots or laughing, learning and fun.

Don't know about there Sunday services, but the other service which is providing shelter & shower with food & a blanket to the needy ones does matches to one of deeds as mentioned in the Bible. A+ for their work.

St. Andrews Presbyterian Church offers a mobile pantry twice a month every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month. It starts at 10 am but they also serve refreshments. You can get some great items like canned goods, produce, toiletries, diapers, and dry cat and dog food.

I have never attended in person but I have made friends with Pastor Jim Rigby on Facebook and always enjoy reading all the good things he has to say. This church is an island of tolerance and kindness in a sea that too often reeks of bigotry and narrow minds. I have been to Austin and San Antonio in the past and if I am ever in the area again I will make it a point to come even if I have to drive for an hour or more. I am a fan from Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
