Amazing church! Loving, committed, honest people with a true heart to honor God. I noticed that someone rated this church with 1 star and I can't even imagine why that would be! This church is full of life, the Word is preached, the worship is incredible yet somehow intimate and non-distractive. You can tell that the band, though extremely talented, is not concerned with putting on a show, but getting out of the way so that the congregation can sing to the Lord as ONE. Truly unique in today's culture. This place cares about their people deeply, and that is evident in every interaction you will have there. If you're reading this and you are on the fence, then get off the fence and check it out. You will be encouraged, empowered, and filled with joy if you do!

This church is a wonderful place to plant your roots. SPC's intent is to be the church (like the one established in the book of Acts). Excellent preaching and fellowship. Welcoming and real. If you're in the Abilene area (and you're looking for a new home church) I would easily recommend!

Very welcoming, kind people. There's a sense that everyone is there for the right reasons. They are not judgemental, and see you for who you truluy are; a person loved by God.

This is what I would refer to as a progressive Christian Church. The lessons and sermons are straight from the bible. I always leave feeling uplifted and filled with The Holy Spirit.
