  A severe safety hazard that leadership is completely ignoring. ​I can no longer attend Skybreak Church due to dangerously high decibel levels during worship. Even sitting far back close to the exit doors, the volume is incredibly loud. From that distance, I have personally witnessed people walk through the doors and immediately turn around and leave as soon as the music starts, multiple times. ​After going to the front for prayer, the extreme volume caused me to experience a loss of hearing in my left ear. It was a terrifying medical scare. ​The music is routinely mixed so loud that the bleachers literally vibrate, and you can see the vocalists on stage visibly straining and shouting just to be heard over the instruments. This is a massive liability and a direct threat to the health of the congregation especially the infants and small children sitting in the front rows exposed to these damaging noise levels. ​Members have brought this to the pastor's attention multiple times, and other public reviews have warned them about this exact issue for over six months, yet leadership treats it lightly and refuses to make changes. Because of this, many long-time members are actively leaving. Worship should be a refreshing experience to praise God, not a health hazard. I have found a new church home where worship is beautiful, safe, and respectful of the congregation’s well being.

  I feel conflicted about leaving a two-star review for the church overall, but I think someone from the staff should know about this. The music in this church is very loud, and while I'm not against loud music in general, I believe the volume takes away from the true worship experience. I'm not the only person who feels this way, and I truly think someone more professional should be behind the sound booth. You can tell that the singers on stage are straining to shout over the loud music. Even during quieter parts, such as when announcements are made, you can barely hear the speaker. If you listen to the live broadcast on YouTube, you'll hear the difference: the music is overwhelmingly loud, but then the preacher is so quiet that you have to turn the volume up several notches. I've been to Skybreak many times, and I like the preaching, but worshiping, for me and some other people I spoke with has been a struggle. You should be able to hear yourself sing, because your mind needs to engage with the words coming out of your mouth as an act of glorifying God. People should be more engaged during worship, and when connecting with others, they should be able to talk freely in a normal voice. The first time I came, the bleachers were literally shaking, and I thought my ears were going to bleed. Really, someone should review the decibel levels and better balance them with the voices. As it stands, it creates an unpleasant worship experience.

  Skybreak Church is an amazing place to worship. Looking for great music? Skybreak has it. Looking for great preaching, that stimulates, inspires and (when needed) convicts? Sky has it (retired Pastor Danny and Pastor Nat Green). Looking for a great collection of believers? Skybreak has it. Looking for a fantastic children's ministry? Skybreak has it. Most importantly, are you looking for a place where the Holy Spirit manifests Himself every single service? Then Skybreak is the place for you and your family. If you're resolving in your heart to make 2025 a great year in your family's life, you won't make a better decision than to make Skybreak your chruch home!

  Visited for the first time with my son hoping that this would become my new church home. The service was amazing. A great selection of worship music and an even better sermon. Though, disappointingly I won’t be back. I brought my 6 month son in with me as a single mom and being a visitor, I wasn’t ready to drop him off in the nursery. I sat in the seats for parents and then nearing the end of the sermon was approached by a staff member being asked to exit and go to the cry room because my baby was “too loud” for what needed to be a quiet atmosphere. My baby was not crying and screaming, he was happy and making noises “talking” for what a 6 month old can. Nothing I imagined to be distracting and after visiting multiple churches this is the first time my baby making noises was not allowed or welcomed. It was very disappointing because I made the choice this morning to go here by myself without an invite and didn’t feel the “welcoming” hospitality I had heard of. Disappointing. Praying that God will lead me to a church that I can comfortably and without feeling shamed bring my happy “talkative” baby boy to so that we can hear the word of God and feel loved by all those within the church.

  When you want to LARP as a Christian, but want to go to a church where you do not have to worry about ever encountering God or the true teachings of Jesus, who wasn’t mentioned once in the three services I attended.

  Genuinely no words to describe how Skybreak makes you feel. The greetings from when you arrive to the worship, the Word..... just the people in general. This church is truly one that makes you want to heal while helping you heal. They bring you closer to your walk with God and those along the same path. They hold no discrimination against anyone. Everyone is welcome, everyone is family. I can 100% say I have never been to a church that makes you feel so complete and happy. Skybreak will forever be the church my family attends. They make it easy for YOU to attend. They help you find parking, they greet you with a smile, they help you find a seat, they have childcare, they have coffee and they have a Jesus loving team ready to help you. What more could you ask for???? We love Skybreak!!!!

  This place is so welcoming. They loved our kids from the very first time we came. The worship is genuine and high quality. The pastor is very much a person who cares about people. It has definitely become our house of worship. After getting into a small group, I can now see how many great people there are who are all on the same journey as we are as we follow Christ together.

  It has been about 20 yrs since I’ve been to church and I will have to say it’s a much bigger world and meaning when you have grown up and I have definitely had my eyes reopened and recommitted my self to our lord and savior at Sky Brake I highly recommend you becoming a member/family with this loveing church

  Amazing atmosphere. You can truly feel the Holy Spirit with in these walls. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. Music selection is fantastic. My only critique will go to the fact that everybody is sat very close together, it feels so constricting during worship. I'm always afraid I'm going to slap the people next to me! Maybe don't sit the attendees so close together? Other than that, amazing church ❤️

  I love this place so much! I came in 2012 and immediately knew this was home. Small groups are a vital part of this church. My small group helped me get through some of the hardest times in my life. I also met my wife here! The services are incredible. This is a place committed to reaching people! The kids and youth ministries are amazing. Great place for any family!

  If you are a family with young children - this is NOT the church for you. You will be shamed for taking your child to the sermon and will be asked to leave/told to take your child to their childcare/ or go to a cry room and watch digitally. Even if your child is being well behaved. The pastor’s wife is very rude and will make verbal attacks and will put the burden on your child for being a reason why people don’t believe in Christ. The church should be a place for all, it should be warm, inviting, and comfortable - this place is much the opposite. If you read the other 1-2 star reviews you will see this has been a problem for quite some time. There are many other churches in town who embrace families and you will be so loved there. ♥️

  I am currently a student here in college station and have not been to church since starting school. While looking I found this one! It is such an amazing experience here. Everyone is welcoming and there to help guide you on your first visit. The pastor is phenomenal and it was such a great sermon. DEFINITELY VISIT!

  Today’s sermon saddened me at some points. I feel that no one should add or take away from the word of the Lord. Scripture is scripture. Also to be told not to stand for the reading of the word because “I’m just trying to get right to the point “ is a bit much. We usually stand for the reading of the word which is honoring the Father. A few key points I feel was pulled way out of context and out of what the Lord means. I pray that the parts that stood out to me don’t turn new babies in Christ away. It should always be spirit lead and not felt like it was flesh lead. May the Lords will be done.

  The pastor wrapped politics into most of his service, which seemed to have a lot of his personal feelings wrapped up into how the world has gone to hell. I left feeling like I just sat through an hour of Fox News. His wife ended with a personal reflection on how parents need to monitor their children’s cell phones, as if parents today do not know the overwhelming pressures to protect their children online. I rarely write a bad review, but if this helps someone desperately looking for hope choose another church, then it was worth the discomfort of writing this.

  I was new to town when I discovered SkyBreak Church. I immediately felt comfortable and at home when I visited. It's diverse, the music is excellent, the pastors are knowledgeable of the bible and the staff are super friendly. The area is always clean. You are greeted with a smile as soon as you touch the property. I would recommend SkyBreak to anyone and everyone in College Station/Bryan. I enjoy being there every Sunday.
