Unwelcoming church on a day when Sherman was doing fireworks. What ever happened to being Christ like? Could've even charged $5 or $10 to park there and let the youth run it and have the proceeds, instead it was blocked off to park. So much for southern hospitality. Probably the same type of members that would splash mud on someone walking along the side of the road then criticize them how filthy they are. Way to church.

My husband and I began attending Sherman Bible Church with our two children about eight years ago. From our very first visit, we were deeply encouraged by Pastor Steve's faithful, verse by verse exposition of Scripture. Through the consistent teaching of God's Word and the work of the Holy Spirit, we grew in our understanding of the gospel, the character of God, and the sufficiency of Christ's finished work on our behalf. For the first time, we experienced intentional, biblical discipleship that helped us not only understand Scripture more clearly but also apply it to our daily lives. Our faith has been strengthened, our love for God's Word has deepened, and our appreciation for the mercy and grace of God has grown immensely during our time here. As parents, we are especially grateful for the children's and youth ministries. We have confidence that our kids are being taught the whole counsel of God in an age-appropriate way that helps them understand biblical truth and its relevance to their lives. We also know they are genuinely loved, cared for, and safe. We are extremely thankful for God's sovereign providence in leading our family to Sherman Bible Church. If you are looking for a church that faithfully proclaims the gospel, teaches Scripture with conviction and clarity, and seeks to make disciples of Jesus Christ, we wholeheartedly recommend Sherman Bible Church.

I was encouraged by a close friend to visit this church and from day one, my family and I have loved attending. My kids absolutely love the staff, the atmosphere, and are presented the word in a way that they can understand it. As a father, I am especially thankful that my kids are well taken care of and comforted in knowing they are safe while my wife and I attend the service. As far as the service, the preaching delivered at Sherman Bible has allowed my wife and I to grow in our walk with Christ, as well as in our relationship with one another. We have been challenged as people, but we are thankful that Sherman Bible delivers the word of God unapologetically and wouldn’t be where we are as a family without it. So, If you’re looking for a place that preaches the word as it is commanded, this is a great place to be!

I feel incredibly blessed by the teaching here at this church. The pastors at Sherman Bible have such a high view of Christ. They prioritize God above seeking man's approval, and that is truly refreshing. I appreciate how deeply the pastors love God and how faithfully they adhere to His Word. For example, the care they put into each lyric of every worship song, ensures that we are singing truth back to God. Everyone at this church has been so welcoming and kind. I found community right away! It's a joy to walk with the Lord alongside sisters and brothers in Christ. If I am blessed to be a mother someday, I would want my children to attend the Sherman Bible Children's Ministry. The attention they give to the curriculum so that the kids' eyes are fixed on our Lord and Savior is a true treasure. I thank God for placing me in this church home, and I can't imagine being anywhere else!

Very low energy. Especially at Christmas. Beautiful Church with a cofee bar and child care. Very modern. Just not for my family. I'm a leader, not a follower. Seems very sheepish for the members. File in file out. Gospel is good though.

About a year ago, my family and I moved across the country to Texas. The transition came during a season when my husband and I were both wrestling with how to best practice our faith—we had grown up in the Roman Catholic tradition, but over the past few years we found ourselves searching for something that spoke to our hearts in a new way. Dear friends of ours referred us to Sherman Bible, and although we were nervous about trying something "new," walking through those doors turned out to be one of the greatest decisions we've made since our move. From the very first service, we felt at home. The sermon was absolutely outstanding—thoughtful, genuine, and exactly what our hearts needed to hear. But what moved me most was watching our three children, ages 13, 10, and 7, become completely captivated by the Pastor's message and sing along in praise throughout the service. As a parent, it brought tears to my eyes. Our kids adored their youth group services so much that they actually begged us to come back. If you're searching for a warm, welcoming, and Spirit-filled church community, I cannot recommend Sherman Bible enough. This beautiful church has been a true blessing to our entire family.

Went to church with my sister and 1 year old niece. We haven’t been in a while and wanted to go and we’re so excited to go. We worshipped and the sermon started. My niece was cooing and making little noises. Nothing loud at all. We were then told by a gentleman to get her and step out with her. Of course if she would have been screaming or crying we would have stepped out but she was literally making minor noises while we listened. We didn’t feel comfortable dropping her in the kids area as we had never been to this church before. As a church preaching “core values” of the bible this is definitely a bad look. This is the reason so many people have issues coming to church. It was very disrespectful and rude. Our kids are the next generation and having them be kicked out practically and making us feel unwanted is not a good thing. What if it was a family coming for the first time trying to find Christ? Luckily we already know Christ. But Jesus would want kids in service making joyful noise learning his word. If you are a church we yearn to be more like Jesus and this was definitely not an example of that. We will not be back. And if you have kids I recommend not coming either. “One day some parents brought their little children to Jesus so he could touch and bless them. But when the disciples saw this, they scolded the parents for bothering him. Then Jesus called for the children and said to the disciples, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of God belongs to those who are like these children. I tell you the truth, anyone who doesn’t receive the Kingdom of God like a child will never enter it.”” Luke 18:15-17 NLT

Sherman Bible Church is the real deal. Solid biblical teaching, authentic worship, and a community that truly lives out their faith. This is not a watered-down message — it’s truth delivered with love and clarity. The leadership is passionate about Scripture and about people. If you want a church that stands firm on the Word of God and challenges you to grow, this is where you belong.

The church employs one of the most intelligent, educated, and effective expository preachers in ministry. I travel full time and have shared many of the sermon series with friends, family, and complete strangers. I have also started Bible studies using the SB series in multiple states. The Holy Spirit convicted me under the preaching here, and for that I will continue to be grateful to Sherman Bible. Unfortunately, the pastoring and organization in the church leaves too much to be desired to ignore any longer. I have reached out more than once for guidance without resolution. I have received more pastoral care in my travels, from churches I visit once or twice, than I can seem to receive from SB. Everyone there is kind and personable, and I truly enjoyed Sunday’s with my grandmother at Sherman Bible. However, if you are looking for pastoral leadership, this may not be the right fit for you.

Unpopular opinion here as we were new looking for a family friendly place I have had some red flags other than the main point of my rant .I have never been kicked out of a service with my child being quiet. If he was disruptive I would have took him out myself I know how to handle my kids correctly, And next will be the post below saying how they love children from reading similar experiences that I should have looked at prior..we will be attending a different church so thankful that this place showed their true colors before we joined. Sad that some churches are nothing but a Social club fueled by money (root of all evil) and who's who. On a better note the sermons were a good..but other places will be more fruitful and can't wait to find that place.
