This is one of the few places that God really is working. Unlike other food banks and outreaches the board who run this ministry do not take bonuses at the end of the year. They do this strictly because they were called to be of service to their community. February 2025 the North Texas Food Bank moved in and cut them off from a lot of the donations that they were receiving from Sam's Club Walmart and other large grocery Distributors they are still serving approximately 40,000 families.

God really uses these wonderful volunteers in this ministry. For this program to be in business over three decades is amazing. They serve hundreds of people each week! The church service on Sunday mornings at 9:30 is awesome and even translated into Spanish. Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays food is distributed but not many people realize that Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays volunteers work for hours preparing the food! All I can say is thank you for these people. God bless you!

One of the most caring and loving church services I've been to in Sherman. After the service they load you up with a whole bunch of groceries fresh bread fresh vegetables pastries just so much stuff to keep and share we'll get photos next time I go. Sunday services begin around 9:30 to 10:00 and then they also hand out food on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the week if you care to volunteer Monday's the day to go be there by 9:00 or 8:00 a.m.

On 8/10 I was yelled at by an African American male while picking up from the pantry. I usually pick up for a very needy family, I am on disability, prior to which i helped them with rent and food. The same young man helped me with two packages to my car. I looked into the packages and thought that there was so little for them, that i took another package. I guess that was a no no. The young man called out to me, reprimanding me infront of all the people who were present. All eyes were on me, i was embarrassed but kept my cool so that i can help this family to eat. The matter could have been handled in a more professional manner. No one go to the pantry because they are rich but because they are in need. To treat people in that manner is really unnecessary. All the other gentlemen has been very polite, one even gave me a pack of mask the week before. Please be more mindful to be kind and nicer to people.

They allow you to come every week, you have scheduled days. Everyone there is super friendly, and treat you like family. The men and women that volunteer here really have the heart to serve others, and treat everyone with kindness, no matter your situation. Truly amazing people.
