I loving worshiping with this congregation. There is a sweetness during the services, a soft presence that I believe comes from revenant worship. Every act of worship is centered on scripture; the songs, the reading of the psalms, and the preaching. The focus of every act of worship is on God, what He has done for us, and how we can live for His glory. No man or woman stands in the spotlight here. As I’ve gotten to know some of the members here, I have discovered people who love God, their families, and each other. This is a church of mostly young families, lots of children. It bubbles with life! As an empty nester, it blesses my heart.

I love this church. I’ve attended here for almost 3 years with my husband and children. Spending time with these people is always our favorite part of the week! Solid Bible teaching and wonderful music of psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. We all enjoy our Sunday school classes before the worship service, and we are so thankful for the wonderful godly teachers pouring into our kids. Our teens enjoy youth group, filled with games, singing, teaching, and small group discussions!

The people is what makes this church truly great. Humble, Christ seeking individuals who gather to worship God on Sundays. There are many children at the church.

I first visited this church in May of 2020, and I’ve been attending ever since. The people were very welcoming to me. There is a true sense of community at this church. It’s not just people I see on Sunday morning. Our men’s group hangs out regularly and we have true friendships. I enjoy being around a group of people who think critically and care deeply about staying true to the scriptures and what it means to live a Christian life 7 days a week. Our church leadership and also our Pastor is very strong.

My family and I began visiting Riverside in the fall of 2021 and joined in February of 2022. The entire congregation was immediately welcoming and loving toward us; from day one we knew that Riverside would be our church home. We are so very thankful to have found such a loving and involved church family to share not only worship, but meaningful, edifying, and lasting relationships with, within the body of Christ.

I visited 5 Bible-believing churches in the area, and this is my favorite. The people are welcoming, and it's especially a good spot for young families. There are also community groups and men's and women's Bible studies outside of the Sunday morning worship service.

Visited a few years ago while the church was located at the Art Museum and they were beginning renovations for their current establishment. My family and I were greeted and welcomed during our first visit, very friendly and pleasant. I believe we were given a 'welcome' bag with a treat/coffee mug. Our children seemed to enjoy it. On our second visit, the following Sunday, we were completely ignored. Some of the parishioners gave us ugly looks because we apparently sat in a "regular's" seat. Only one individual mouthed 'hello' from a distance. The pastor came and spoke to us, but made it seem very uncomfortable, like he was obligated but did not want to speak to us. The congregation felt clique-ish and materialistic. It seemed once they found out 'what' we did for a living was not high money, we weren't worth being spoken to again. This may not have been the case, but it certainly felt like it. We left as quickly as possible and did not return again. This was honestly the worst experience we have ever felt at a church. Bad enough to still be in our minds years later. If your looking for a welcoming to all Presbyterian (PCA) church or frankly any church in general, try elsewhere...this isn't it.

I am newly called to the church as the minister in August 2022. We have been so warmly welcomed by the congregation and we want to extend the same warm welcome to others who visit. There are many new things happening as we grow. Please come check us out!

my wife and I have been attending Riverside for about 3 months now and from the first Sunday, we knew it was home. the people are so kind and as my wife and I have been going through huge life changes recently (having a baby), they’ve all been there right beside us, praying for us, sending us dinners, checking in on us. this church truly strives to be the hands and feet of Jesus.

A gem in the downtown area. Beautiful campus and I love the fact that the church is remodeling this historic place. Thankful that the church allows my daughter’s school to be held here.
