I really like that every time we go, the message is coming through loud and clear. The pastor knows how to reach people and I find appreciation in how he connects people to what he is saying (sometimes even a bit humorous). It's different …

I left another Christian well known church in Austin because the preachings felt super sugarcoated/no substance, almost like positive talks with bible verses. I no longer felt spiritually fed. So I started looking around, so glad I came across River Valley! First of all Pastor Codi is hilarious, has this great gift of speaking, and also serves. Second of all, I really appreciate how he and the other pastors stand outside the worship area after service and are open to conversation or a simple hello. Last but not least is preachings/sermons. Sermons are 100% biblical based. I feel the Lord speaking to me, convicting me, and working in my heart when I hear the word. As long as River Valley doesn’t compromise biblical truth for popularity I will always recommend!

Great praise and worship service. Great message of the gospel preached. Unfortunately as an ordained minister, I would never close out a sermon without giving an invitation for salvation and prayer. River Valley closes out their church services without an invitation or prayer needs. I have never visit a church that doesn't end with the opportunity for a non believer to come to Christ.

Nice place with nice people but the fact that their pastor is using an entire month of sermons as an opportunity to essentially panhandle (fundraise) is very off putting. We will not be attending this month solely for that reason. Not an appropriate use of this time at all. People are struggling with finances enough right now. We don't need to spend the little time we have to rest and rejoice being hijacked. Very disappointing.

We have been going to River a Valley for almost 4 years. We love this church so much that we drive almost an hour every Sunday to attend. I can't express how much that being a part of this truly God-connected church has impacted our family. We all WANT to go church every Sunday. It is a for real church lead by God. The people HE has put in place are amazing! The preacher is a Bible teaching preacher who brings understanding and historical relevance to the sermons. The band is so hooked on Christ that you can not help but be lifted by their music and join in their praise!!!! If you are looking for a church where you want to learn more about God's word and what he wants for you, where you can be just another sinner looking for God's grace, and be lifted by the true love of Christ... This is the place to be!!! ........ps. They have great donuts and Coffee Dog coffee;)

We made the decision to join River Valley about 3 years ago. I can't even begin to explain how much our lives have changed since then. Our daughter started in the children's program and watching her faith grow over these past 3 years has been an amazing experience. The children's program is full of (trained) volunteers who are there because they truly care about each of the children. The connections that my husband and i have made are unlike any others we have experienced in our lives (and we're 43 and 50) and I believe we have made friends who would do anything for us. Considering I am an introvert and don't typically socialize outside of work, that's saying a lot. River Valley is truly a special place whose vision is to further the kingdom and to help people separated from God come to know the love of Jesus Christ. I wish we hadn't waited so long to make the decision to come check it out. Come visit, you won't be sorry!

I thought i had found a church for my family. It’s very important to me to have my children be involved at a young age...The church is beautiful. The pastor is fantastic at preaching the word. I am VERY disappointed in the child care. There was no interaction with my child which made her feel very uneasy in the class. 3 adults and 5 kids and a room and every time i checked on her, there wasn’t a single word being said in there. And the lady who helped us was extremely nasty to me. I haven’t been back since. Another time we brought along our Niece and it was a day the children where being recognized. We all stood in the front of the church and they said each kids name etc, (i filled out a paper with all 3 kids) and they don’t include my niece even though her name was on it. She felt very unwelcome. It was obvious that she was skipped intentionally.

I loved it! Not much of a church person but I am a GOD PERSON. And I know that fellowship is important and to be around other like-minded people and to continue to grow, learn and give back. Which is why it’s always been difficult for me to find a home church because churches are run by imperfect people. But I got to tell you this place felt right.
