Yo, this church and their crew seriously impressed me. Let me break it down. We got invited to a summer camp. 🏕️ At first, I was thinking, “Here we go again…” Another overpriced camp where we drop a couple hundred bucks just to get back cranky, sunburnt kids who are over it by day two. Then I heard it was a church camp and thought, “Great, what kind of weird teachings are my kids about to come home with?” I was skeptical—big time. But my wife convinced me (like she always does), and yep… I was wrong. No weird indoctrination. No exhausted, miserable kids. Just a super smooth experience from start to finish. The kids had a blast. Every day they came home excited, showing off crafts and sharing little things they learned. It was awesome. The camp was just three hours a day, Monday through Thursday. Perfect. And get this—they had this muppet-style firefly character that the kids loved. Total hit. But the real kicker? Camp was only $10 per kid. 😲 Yeah, you read that right. And the cherry on top… 🥁 They sent each family home with an album of the camp music… and it was on a CD. That’s right. I finally got to dust off the ol’ CD player, and the kids went nuts singing along.

My family and I have been attending RPUMC now for 3 years. We love the people there. I have a daughter in the youth group. It is not a large church, but we like the atmosphere of being part of a smaller group where you really get to know the people and not just see them on Sunday mornings.

Went here for Halloween for the first time today and kid had a great time (first Halloween). Would love to come back to the Church.. volunteers were very warm and welcoming..
