Just moved here from Louisiana. My first time visiting Promisedland and I will be calling this place home. The congregants were exceptionally friendly, the atmosphere was beautiful, the praise team was phenomenal and the pastor was a great orator. Gods presence was definitely felt.

PromiseLand Church is a large congregation with a diverse crowd of attendees and members who are generally welcoming. PROS: The contemporary music and worship team are absolutely amazing! I've felt very moved every service and love how into it the crowd gets. You can also feel a lot of unity here when everyone prays together. Pastor Robin is genuine and his sermons always hit home. My child loves attending PromiseKids during service and I trust the adults there. CONS: While I'd say most of the staff/members here are friendly, especially the greeters and the folks at PromiseKids, I've felt very judged by some of the other people here. Sometimes I feel like it's a club I want to join but don't have access to. And because PromiseLand attracts so many people each service it is easy to get lost in the crowd, so to speak. I honestly feel like just another number here. These things have made me wary and prevented me from becoming further engaged with the church community. I most likely will not pursue an official membership unless some of the attitudes here change. In the meantime I've been visiting other local churches and hoping to find a better sense of belonging elsewhere.

I have been attending this church for 11 months now. I was initially interested because of one of their podcast sermons I heard while at work. I was just reclaiming my walk with the Lord after 13 years of not walking with Him. So I needed a welcoming place where I felt I could worship freely, get into community, and truly learn about the gospel. God is doing something pure at PromiseLand. I instantly fell into tears during worship feeling the Holy Spirit moving through the room. I have always been welcomed with a warm smile and greeting. Additionally, the small groups at the church have been a great way to get involved and feel real support from God's church. This church is so wonderful my husband also reclaimed his walk with the Lord and rejoiced when he found out he'd be able to spend his birthday (which landed on a Sunday) in this church. Further, getting involved through serving has blessed me in more ways than I thought initially. I have been serving in the toddler room for over 8 months now and continue to fill with joy when I hear a little one's voice say "Jesus loves me" or "Amen". Finally, this is the first church I have felt genuinely comfortable to tithe at. I know my money is going towards world-wide missionary trips, feeding my local community, fellowshipping with the youth and the elderly, hosting fun nights for the church body, and even as simple as providing communion every First Wednesday (which is a moving experience all in and of itself). From the bottom of my heart, I recommend PromiseLand to anyone who is either just starting, reclaiming, or seasoned in their walk with the Lord. This church accepts everyone.

I was at a low point in my search for God when PromiseLand San Marcos was doing their first ever church service in our town. They were preaching the word at Jackson Chapel and I had seen an advertisement posted somewhere in town. I was not a church goer in those days and felt as if I wasn’t worthy enough to even be in the same room as those “holy people”…..lol, a friend saw me walking away to leave and he encouraged me to come in….needless to say I’m glad I did! That was over 20 years ago and I’m so thankful for their commitment to teaching and spreading the gospel. Join us if you are searching for a home church!

When we moved to Texas a few years ago, I never could have imagined finding such a wonderful church home. The people of Promiseland are incredibly kind, warm, and welcoming. We have felt supported and encouraged in every step of our Christian journey! The church leadership are so real and approachable. I genuinely miss it so much when I can’t make it on Sunday.

If I could give less then 1 star I would. It was my first visit today to this church I went at 10am because im not the much of an early riser...besides the point before I even pull in I get a rush of nerves because 1 ive never been there and 2 my last church left me with a bad taste in my mouth.....well this time wasnt any different from the moment I pulled onto the property I straight up got ignored had no idea where to park and even after asking was told one thing and in reality it was something different then I ask where do I even go she just pointed at the building and said there and acted like she didnt even want to help....ok cool whatever I walk inside and was not greated by anyone no smile no head nod nothing....ok fine its early maybe we aint awake yet...I get into the worship area and stand at the sound booth trying to find a seat I find nothing so I just wait....thinking maybe when the lights come up ill find something....my gut told me just walk out there was 1 girl helping other people find seats saw me and passed me 4 different times with not even a hello or can I help u find a seat....again completely ignored. I do end up finding a seat thankfully and while the service was extremely short it seemed like no one was really into it including the pastor...service ends and I stay in my seat thinking well maybe I can introduce myself to the pastor or something nope I look up and I cant find the pastor anywhere and everybody is rushing the doors trying to get out...I have never seen a church crowd behave that way....I really dnt think ill be back because being ignored leaves me wondering if ill ever be accepted by them.

I LOVE this church! . I have felt so much joy, love, and acceptance from my first visit. It feels like home, from my first visit last November. The people are so welcoming. The church offers several service times, as well as many opportunities to serve or join in small groups.

I fell in love with Promiseland the second I walked in. Started with smiling faces and amazing worship to a POWERFUL message that just felt like the Pastor listened in on my prayer in my car seconds before. I hadn't found a church as an adult and honestly had drifted far from a relationship with God but walking into a Church that made me feel so comfortable; well it made me never want to leave. Now just a little over a year I'm a part of the Dream Team and only want to keep growing in this lifelong journey AT PROMISELAND CHURCH ❣️🙌
