The spirit of God dwells in this cozy country church! Warm friendly caring people and the preacher is very knowledgeable of the Bible and teaches God's message. This church is full of love for Christ and each other. The church has been such a blessing to me and my family in our time of need they were there! I highly recommend this church!

Don't let the little country church look fool you; there is some serious preaching going on here. Kevin brings God's word each and every Sunday, unadulterated and true to the bible. The atmosphere is friendly and the fellowship is unmatched. Everyone is welcome, from atheist to lifelong believer. Come check us out. I think you'll like what you experience.

Small country church with welcoming people and a pastor that clearly has a heart for people and preaches the word of God without apology or watering it down. He doesn't use the word to beat you up, he just clearly communicates it with passion. Wonderful gathering at this location. We visited from Georgia and will join in with them again when we are in the area!

In 2018 my husband and I decided to take our 3 kids to trunk or treat at Poetry Baptist Church because the weather wasnt great and we still wanted the kids to have fun. We walked in and felt really welcomed and the kids had a great time. In fact it made us want to attend a Sunday service. We did and we were so impressed with how inviting it was. The people were friendly and not surface level friendly, I felt they really wanted me there. They were happy to have us, took the time to learn our names and there were so many kids! The sermon was the best part. It was straight from the Bible. God's word. It was refreshing and anything but watered down. We felt God was leading us to a church where we would grow closer to Him. I feel blessed that we were lead to PBC. God has already done amazing things in our family, marriage and children. Our kids are so involved in church and we have just grown so much in a short time. God is good. Poetry Baptist is a great place to be. I find it hard to leave on Sundays. It has become an extension of our family and we are excited about our future here. Our Mission: pursue, win and disciple the lost, deluded and disillusioned for God's glory. "We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body." 2 Corinthians 4:10

It was a very friendly Church. People were loving and caring. They had programs for children. Got information about their VBS that's starting June 19th to 23rd. 6:30 to 9pm.
