Beautiful, peaceful, and located right on the water. You can get away from day to day stress in the chapel, at various point on the property, or by the water. There is a nice gift shop.

A beautiful stop - and if you can stay to pray all the better! The Schoenstatt (translation from German: Beautiful Place) Shrine on the shore of the Aransas Pass is stunning. The heavy paneled wooden door of the stark white chapel leads to a holy place to pray and give praise to Our Lord. Theis place of pilgrimage welcomes visitors from far and wide. The Shrine of Confidence here in Lamar (Rockport) is one of over 200 replicas of the Original Schoenstatt Shrine in Germany. This is a center of spiritual renewal. This is a really cool chapel that is right on the bay. Highly recommend taking time out to reflect or pray. The grounds are well kept as well.
