While visiting New Smyrna, my family and I decided to attend Sunday Mass here, and we had a great experience. The parish was welcoming, the service was meaningful, and everyone was very friendly. We would definitely come back the next time we’re visiting the area.

During the difficult days of the COVID-19 pandemic, my family and I sought comfort and connection within the walls of this very church. Sadly, our experience during that time left us feeling disheartened. As safety protocols were implemented, those who did not wear masks were directed to sit in a separate section of the church. Though the intention may have been rooted in care, the result was deeply sorrowful—fear seemed to overshadow faith, and the sense of unity we longed for felt broken. But what a difference a few years—and a shepherd—can make. In October 2024, we returned to the parish and were blessed to experience the incredible transformation that has taken place under the leadership of Father Bass, our new young priest. Words cannot fully capture the beauty of the Mass or the spirit of the environment he has helped create. His deep faith, humble heart, and joyful presence have truly revitalized this parish. The community now reflects exactly what the Church is meant to be: welcoming, compassionate, prayerful, and alive with the love of Christ. Every Mass is filled with reverence, peace, and a genuine sense of God's presence. I feel embraced—not only by the parishioners, who are among the kindest and most welcoming people I’ve encountered, but by the Holy Spirit itself. It is clear that the warmth of this parish flows from the heart of its leader. I am so thankful to be part of a church that not only nourishes my faith but also draws me deeper into a relationship with God and our Blessed Mother. The diversity of this community is also a beautiful testament to the universal Church. It is a glimpse into what Heaven must look like—people of all backgrounds, united in one faith, praising God together. To anyone who has been away, or who is seeking a spiritual home, I encourage you to come and experience what we now have. This parish has become a sanctuary of peace, faith, and renewal. Let us continue to grow together—in faith, in fellowship, and in lo

I am sharing my story of Faith and this Church Community. I was invited to attend a Women's Retreat by a member, whom I do not personally know. It felt like wink from God as I had recently reconnected to my Faith after many years. I really envisioned a few days of focused prayer and intention, and some alone time. What I got was so more more. I have never been surrounded by so much pure welcoming love, support and women of true faith. The experience changed my life and I am forever grateful for that little invite from a stranger. During this experience I had personal interactions with the OLA Priests, Women's and Men's Groups who fed us. I do not attend this church as I often drive from Frisco to Dallas to attend with my sister and mother. I am considering it as I have not found another group of women of pure faith with nothing but love for others. I really liked the The priest and he did a great job of guiding me through my first confession after a very long time. They even had little cards to guide you through the process. The first day after the welcome breakfast and we started our procession into mass singing a song I didn't know...I thought "oh boy what have I done I do not belong here". I quickly told myself you are here for a reason. God is calling you, be open to the experience. Don't let fear keep you from something wonderful. I am so glad I stayed. It changed my life. This is a Catholic Church filled with people of Faith in God, guided by the holy spirit and see Jesus as the truth, the light and the only way to God. Did you know The word "catholic" originates from the Greek word "katholikos," meaning "universal". This sense refers to something that is all-embracing, broad, or inclusive, rather than limited to a specific group or place. It's for all people and all are welcome, just as Jesus intended. BeWell- I dont care where you go to find it, I hope you find the peace your heart desires all you need to do is plug back into GOD and ask for his help. Read his word every day. It will blow your mind. Come back to mass. God Loves YOU.

The entire family went to Christmas mass at Our Lady. Very comfortable, strong singing throughout the Mass Standing room only but the service was well run, everyone seated around us enjoyed the Service.

Absolutely loved this church and all its parishioners. We stumbled across this church unexpectedly but were welcomed by all the people we met. Monsignor Bell is also such a welcoming and genuine person. Will definitely be back and even thinking of switching to become members at this Parish.

This is a awesome church. It is a small community and people are very inviting. There is lot of things to do around and help is always invited. The church is fairly new, built in 2002, and is looking for volunteers to help with lot of ministries.

My wife and I chose this church in Allen,Tx while we were visiting the area. The first impression we had at the front entrance was very welcoming! The sanctuary looked a little bit like a converted warehouse. The responding congregation was a little quiet, I wasn’t use to that, because my church, St. John the Apostle in Terrell, Tx has a much louder responding group of people.
