this is NOT a homeless shelter NOR emergency shelter, it’s for inclimate weather. They do have beds but yu will be put on a waiting list. The guy said the list moves steady for it wouldn’t be long. Only gave 3 stars cux I dnt know how they move, I went in and went out.

This place is a Very Stable Place to Stay Great Structure. Great Staff. They Will not Tolerate Bad Mannered People. Very Safe Secure Place for Homeless People who Really Want to Change Their Life's. I Highly Recommend For The Homeless who Have No Home and Want to Get back on Your Feet. Just Trust the Process and Behave. It's Worth it. Just Comply. God Bless Yall.

They feed you three times a day here, food is decent, although the portion can be small at times. Private showers and bathrooms. Beds are comfortable, and the rooms are spacious enough. If they do not have a bed available for you, you have a chance to get either a cot or a couch to sleep on. The bed lottery is every Wednesday for men, and every Monday for women. If you do get a bed, you get to keep that bed for 7 days until the next 'reset'. Check in for the overnight shelter is at 4pm, the day shelter is open from 8am-7.30pm to public. Staff are mostly respectful, except Raj. There is WiFi here! 🤯

This place is not a place for a African American men to go too! I been barred indefinitely for the reason i don't know! After been barred 4-5 months ago I went up there to find out if the barred as lifted and I couldn't get a straight answer! I told serciuty that I had recorded the interaction and the Mayor will hear about how this shelter is being ran! Ms Aba the director immediately ran to my car as I was leaving the facility told me i had to delete the recording cause it was unlawful for me to record cause I did not have permission to do so! After I refused to do so and drove off She started running after my car to get my tag number immediately turned around called the police myself and awaited for their arrival! 5 officers arrived in was in fear of my life and or my freedom but I must say the Denton Police handle the situation in a very perffissonal matter and didn't fall for this white despition cries!

So I came to this place in December. It's ran by the homeless individuals. I am now in the hospital with E Coli handcuffed to an IV drip of antibiotics every 8 hours. The people in the kitchen do not have food handling permits at all. So germs are being spread like wildfire in there. Food is heated and served 3x a week. A test tray is not stored for situation like this. Bugs are in the food. Things are out dated. Now im fighting for my life basically. No temperature gages are used to test the food before serving. They are here to help us but yet now im iv drip antibiotics for 6 weeks to kill tge bacteria. Now it's obvious why people stay sick in there. Calling 911 10x in one day. Smh.

I remember when that picture was taken of that child.....soooo cute in his brand new jacket....it has great staff and an off duty officer at the door. You will feel safe, clean and full. Do they offer big trash cans to store things in? (Not making fun of...). I know they do have storage spaces within gate

This is my first time to experience a shelter. For the most part the staff are polite, and they do great for the homeless in preparing them to re-eneter society. The only things I would really change are... 1) the menu ingrediants. Probably about 75 percent of the meals provided are much to spicy for myself and many others who cant deal with spicy foods. I understand the food served is donated, but i wish they would hold back on the peppers and other hot seasoning they use. Many times we are ironically left hungary at night just because we couldnt handle the food. 2) They recently started closing the dorms of weekends, just like they do during the week. I understand this is a for of "punishment" for some, but I do not believe this is fair to those of us who work hard during the week, have jobs, and would just like to rest on the weekeneds. Weekends are not even a time when much can be accomplished, jobs can't be found and weekends, and it just makes for an uncomfortably crowded experience on weekends. Not all of us who work are privleged enough to be in transition and able to rest when we need. Altogether, ODB is a good place.

If you don't have a place to go to they can help you out with beds and showers and wash clothes and help you find a job to get on your feet and get your own place some day and they also help you with other services
