This place is in need of a good prayer team, the Bible study group leader is doing his best, but needs to be more proactive in his approach to helping the homeless. A great place to seek out resources for low income families and those in need of assistance.

Asked for some assistance and they told me to contact some other organization. Completely not helpful whatsoever. Suggested I stay with family while experiencing homelessness.

Debra is amazing 👏. I was living at salvation army and open door was a place with food and friends. Shower if you need it. Watch a movie if you want. Saw the Dr when I was sick. They don't judge you and your situation. Only show care. They have a bus that takes you to get social security card. Bus next day after that takes you to get ID.

Open Door? It’s more like GateKeepers. This place has cult-like vibes. To walk in without being known is an awful experience. The patronization shown to strangers is deplorable. The way the owners…errr I mean executive team seem to conflate business owned assets and personal property is way too shady. This place is a sham. It’s a shame individuals experiencing homelessness have to meet “friend” status to get support. This Open Door is falling off the hinges from way too much personal use from its leadership.

The staff is nice. I just wished they would have offered help. I was in a confused state, leaving a abusive house and just didn't ask the right questions. Seemed if I didn't know what I needed I wouldn't get offered help. Doesn't help I work full time, my income after taxes gets my bills paid but no gas for car, food. Just can't depend on help. I feel it's because I'm working. Not depending on people's taxes to pay my way. Either have to be homeless or not anything to get help.

I go there all the time and I like it. The staff is helpful and the people there are helpful too. I guess it just depends on you because The staff has always been nice to me And I Thank them for that they serving breakfast is in the morning It beening pancakes or oatmeal and they give you coffee if you never been homeless don't come here with a Negative attitude and don't judge if you don't know how it is to be homeless some people come in already judging individuals by wat they do or act because one thing I can say about Open Door they do help you but you also got to make the effort but Open Door is very helpful and knowledgeable on helping you so don't come to my church talking this and that if you don't know

This is a day shelter for the homeless. They provide other services like helping the homeless with showers, getting their ID, and birth certificates. The staff is awesome and very friendly and super courteous. They open with daily prayer and need the help of the community. It's a place that gives the homeless a place that is safe to go during the day. Their funding is limited to the donations they are given. I will say they provide much-needed help to individuals that are challenged. So please give from the heart. God Bless.

It's ok. If you can deal with crazy smelly people there is a shower, restroom, food, mail room and the such. They have helpful resources. I have a friend there a volunteer. Known 7 years. We both lived in hot springs Arkansas when we were young. He is black I'm native American. Choctaw. We are in our 60s. It's a great place.

They are nice as long as you do as they say one of there staff members was nice when I was homeless and I had to take a shower before going to work so james let me in to take a shower so I could get to work smelling good . An they help you get your Texas Id and your social security card and let you get mail there and if you pertisapait in groups that you can get a locker to put your stuff in.but know they say that they help all the homeless when they are mean and hateful and kick people off the property and band them for a week or longer and they are using all the money to take how they like to the movies and all you can eat and disrespect everyone else that they dislike how ever they want and I have seen first hand my self of what they do
