Open Arms Homeless Shelter is a great place to give individuals a hand up and not a hand out. Their mission, first and foremost, is to witness to every individual who comes through the doors about Jesus Christ, and the forgiveness and salvation that he offers, if only you are willing to reach out for it. They also connect individuals to local churches. Salvation and going to a local church is NOT a requirement at the shelter, but is part of the shelter's overall mission. They then provide shelter, food, and the resources that an individual needs to get back on their feet. Case Management is required for every resident after two weeks and the program works with the individual to connect them with local resources to lay the groundwork for self-sufficiency. The new building is also a hub for community services such as WIC, the Fannin Health Clinic, and more to come. Open Arms Homeless Shelter is overall doing great work in the community!!!

I am Very Thankful for all you have done. Mark you are an Amazing Man with Everything you do for All of Us that have been in need. I am Grateful for you all being there when I needed a ride for my surgery, the foods from donors. Getting Ahead Class & in class (I met a lady in need of help, I now work for Quality and help her 24/7.) God puts us in our Direction not only mine for your help, it also put me forward to help another. Thank You from January to April 2025. Amazingly God Bless You 🙏

I am homeless and a little over an hour away from Open Arms Shelter, I contacted Mark and spoke to him on the phone, Mark told me he does not take "outside people" and would only offer me services If I either knew someone in the immediate area or had a job opportunity in the immediate area. Pretty amazing considering they claim to be a faith based shelter. So much for "Open Arms" That's OK though, I'm a Christian and forgive them but they deserve the one star. That's really ridiculous criteria especially considering their name and their claim. #JesusSaves 🙏🏼

Great place full of great people with the potential to save your life if you'll let them. Gave me a hand up when I needed it most even if I'm not as grateful or aware of it as I should be sometimes.

Communication seems that when I attempt to aide families with local resources my phone seems to get voicemail. Emergency situations require actual human interaction for policies to function properly especially with health and human resources/services. I 🙏 for these types of conversations to be resolved respectfully for all …
