My family walked into Onward and was immediately welcomed with open arms. We are so grateful to have found a church that is wholeheartedly pursuing Christ and teaching others to do the same. The community here is truly special. It’s filled with people who love, support, and encourage one another, and that has made a direct impact on our family’s life. The teaching is biblically grounded and rooted in truth. Each message deepens our understanding of God’s Word, but what truly sets Onward apart is the accountability and intentional community. We’re reminded that we don’t walk this journey alone. Instead, we’re challenged to grow, to love others, and to live out our faith every day.

While prayerfully seeking faithful shepherding and clear biblical teaching, I can say I ultimately left with a growing concern that essential elements of the gospel are rarely addressed with clarity or weight. Sermons emphasized encouragement and general Christian language, but spoke very little about sin, repentance, suffering, the cost of discipleship, or the offense of the cross. Scripture repeatedly warns that the gospel will bring resistance when preached plainly, yet there was little sense that truth here carries any cost at all. I do not doubt the sincerity of many people who attend. However, those seeking preaching that distinguishes between cultural Christianity and genuine repentance, or shepherding that is willing to confront rather than comfort only, may leave spiritually undernourished. What a warning to Pastors we see in Ezekiel 34. May they hear! I pray the Lord strengthens His church everywhere to speak the whole counsel of God—even though it is offensive and even WHEN it is uncomfortable.

I am incredibly grateful to the leadership and staff of Onward Community Church. They listened to my story, saw me for who I was, and welcomed me with open arms! I feel beyond blessed by this church. The teaching from the Bible is bold and honest. Learning about the truths of Christianity is only one half of the equation; the other half is living it out. This church is not shy about teaching and challenging its congregation to do just that.

Biblically sound church. We've attended Onward for almost two years and it's been great. We love that it's a small church feel which makes it easier to get to know people. I really enjoy walking in on Sundays and recognizing a lot of people and having people to talk to. We used to go to a very large church and it was hard to feel "seen", but when we moved to Frisco we started attending Onward and have really enjoyed it.

I have been attending Onward since it opened its doors almost three years ago. The community, leadership, teaching, and relationships have been a consistent source of joy and growth for me and my family. Onward does not shy away from the hard questions/topics of the day, rather the leadership answers with truth found in scripture.

I have been at Onward for 3 years. I love being a member here! Staff all love the Lord and teach sound scripture. They do a good job at pushing with in the body. Went through a tough time last year and everyone there did a great caring for me! 1They have a great Young Adults ministry as well that meets on Tuesday Nights. 10/10 would recommend.

Love this church! I’ve been there from the beginning and seen first hand how the body has come around me and shaped me to look more like Christ. They have the best leadership team. They are quick to listen and slow to speak and practicing what they preach on so many levels. The church is still fairly small and feels so much like a family with people being added to it all the time. Everyone truly acts as the hands and feet of Christ and is deployed using their gifts to serve the body. There is room for you here whether you have a gift to share or are in need of others to help you get to a place you can use your gifts again. Come and see!

If you live in the Frisco area and searching for a good Christ-centered Bible-based church with genuinely good folks, look no further than Onward Community Church. I've been going there for about three years now and glad I made the switch. Tonight's Good Friday message was very powerful and hit me pretty hard. I'm looking forward to Easter Sunday ✝️

Onward preaches the Bible. Plain and simple. It does a great job of not perverting God’s Word but rather helps you walk thru Gods great love letter to us in context. My family has been coming for years and the spiritual growth for my family is very clear. The community aspect follows the biblical teaching of making sure we do not walk through this life alone but rather surround ourselves and families in close community to better be held accountable, challenge and love and support one another.

I've been a member since the doors opened and I have thoroughly enjoyed being a part of this community! I have been cared for, encouraged, and challenged to grow in my faith. The community group structure has significantly impacted my marriage and family. My kids have made lifelong friendships and have grown in their understanding of the Gospel.

I came to worship God and they wouldn’t let me in the door because I have kids that also want to sing praise and worship to God my kids prefer to sing in the praise and worship rather than go to the kids class. They said it’s for single people only Tuesday nights but I am single my husband died in a car accident. They actually guarded me away saying I have to leave, Jesus never taught that you should push some one away that simply desires to sing praise and worship to the Lord. They are obviously not following Jesus and His WORD! They didn’t offer to pray for us either. If you want to please God and really learn and follow HIS WORD I would not go to this church. God bless you “Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth” (John 4:23-24). Many people pretend to worship God; however, the Lord sees their hearts and minds. God accepts true worship from those who are a part of the body of Christ and live truthful lives. When we are honest with the Lord to confess our sins, we are purified to worship Him in Spirit and truth. God wants all to worship Him this church is not following Gods Righteous Words! There should never be a soul turned away from the door that leads to praise and worship never discriminated for any reason. If a heart desires to pour their heart out to God in praise in worship than the church should leave their doors open to them never turn them away.

My wife and I have been attending Onward since it was Watermark Frisco and we were meeting in the local high school 3 years ago. Since then our body has been blessed with many opportunities to further the mission to emulate Christ and share truth to those who seek it and there is still a lot of work to do! If you are looking for an opportunity to grow in fellowship with God and a community, pour into others, and serve, it might make sense to check out Onward.

Onward is a church where imperfect people are seeking to know more about a perfect God. We want to glorify God as we enjoy and obey Jesus… and we do it together! You are not alone and will not feel alone here. Our community groups provide small group settings to live out your faith authentically and to biblically encourage one another. Our two teens love being a part of the student groups where they are known and cared for by their leaders. Their leaders are true mentors and help them own their faith. Also our youngest daughter has a disability and a special Onward helper each Sunday that makes it possible for her to learn with her peers about Jesus while we do too. Such a huge blessing to our fam. And last Women’s Bible Study… this ministry has impacted my faith the most here at OCC. Women studying scripture, applying it to their lives, and encouraging each other makes it my favorite day of the week (fall and spring). 💚 We’d love to have you, come and see!

Onward is a wonderful church! Pastor Conner is a solid teacher and speaks the truth in love. Onward offers ministries for men, women, young adults, and kids, as well as ministries for Bible studies and married couples. It’s very a very warm and inviting place to worship. Come and check it out!

Biblical, Christ-centered teaching for all ages and walks of life. I just love seeing all the friendly faces of this family of believers each time we get together. If you don’t have a church home in Frisco, I would recommend giving Onward a visit!
