  I have never written a bad review for a church & it's truly heartbreaking to do so. I decided to drive to the Prosper Campus on Easter Sunday, but I usually attend the Plano service. I was really shocked how no one helped direct me when I walked in. They all stood around & some just stared. It was overflow & I saw one seat open that was behind the overflow audience. A man had sat down, so after standing for several minutes, I asked a young lady if I could sit there & she told me no. I could go on the other side of the church & there would be seats there. I walked to the other side & no seats. Same thing... no one helped me. They were all talking, so I just left. While walking out a lady asked, "you leaving?! Come back next Sunday." I'm so glad that I was raised in a church & have a relationship with God. What if I didn't know Him for myself. A soul could have been lost all because no one cared enough to have a helping spirit. I won't return to this location as I didn't feel welcomed, but I'll continue going to the Plano location. I also ran into the Pastor of this campus at HEB in Frisco who invited me to come out to service. I wish I would have saw him today.

  One community church of Prosper is the church that got me to join a church. I’ve been in and out of different churches my whole life but never belonged to one, and truly no church has ever made me feel that I belong. I was raised predominantly catholic and always felt the praise and worship churches didn’t respect the psalms but the ENERGY of this church respects the Bible, the teaches, the gospel, and Him. The COMMUNITY of this church is what is taught in the Bible a church should be. And TEACHINGS of our wonderful pastor Dr Conway are ALWAYS rooted in scripture, (if you experience anything otherwise then you didn’t read and follow along with the sermon notes). You are left at the end of a beautifully spoken sermon each Sunday with study material, verses, a theme, resources to ask questions, and Wednesday and Thursday night bible study. This church is not only rooted in scripture and the teaches of the Bible but also truly makes you feel like you belong and you can be an imperfect person with a place to improve and get closer to Christ. Last but most certainly not least the music is ALWAYS INCREDIBLE 🙌🏽

  I attended a Sunday gathering at One Community Church and left deeply troubled. The gospel was not preached. The message was motivational in nature and lacked the defining elements of biblical Christianity—sin, repentance, the cross, judgment, and the call to follow Christ at personal cost. Jesus was referenced, but not proclaimed. Scripture was not handled in a way that confronted the heart or pointed listeners toward repentance and salvation. The focus remained on self-improvement and affirmation rather than reconciliation with God through Christ. Those seeking a church rooted in biblical preaching should proceed with caution. Scripture warns that not all who speak in Christian terms proclaim the faith once delivered to the saints. UPDATE (please see my response to their response): Thank you for your gracious response. I appreciate the respectful tone and your stated desire to see people follow Jesus faithfully. I want to clarify that my concern is not based on a single visit. I attended four to five gatherings over the past year along with a number of other churches in the area (though it was evident on my first visit at One CC that holiness isn't being demonstrated or taught), which allowed me to observe what is consistently emphasized when the church assembles. My concern is not with your stated values, but with what was publicly proclaimed. Scripture places great weight on the clear preaching of the gospel when the church gathers—not as something assumed over time, but plainly declared: “How are they to believe in Him of whom they have never heard?” (Romans 10:14) While style and application may vary, the substance of the gospel does not. The apostles messages consistently include sin, repentance, the cross, and the call to follow Christ (Acts 2:38; Luke 9:23; 1 Corinthians 1:23). When Jesus is referenced but these realities are not clearly presented, hearers may be encouraged yet remain unaware of their need for repentance and reconciliation with God. Scripture urges believers to be discerning (Acts 17:11). I share this with sobriety and care for those seeking Christ. Public teaching shapes understanding—especially for those new to the faith—and for that reason, the gospel must be unmistakable when God’s people gather. My prayer is that Christ is clearly proclaimed and faithfully followed. *For those who are newly seeking Christ, or for those I’ve spoken with who attend here and feel spiritually disoriented: I encourage you to pray before opening the Word of God and ask the Lord to lead you into truth. Seek a church that is Bible-centered, Christ-exalting, and anchored in Scripture. He is faithful to answer those who ask (Matthew 7:7). Many today are being fed by men, but not from the Word. Scripture warns of shepherds who speak smooth things while withholding what gives life (Ezekiel 34:2–4; Amos 8:11). If you do not leave a gathering with a deeper love for God and neighbor—if you are not moved to care for souls, even your enemies, with a concern that longs for their repentance— if you are not stirred with urgency to share the gospel, if you do not hunger and thirst for the Scriptures themselves—then do not ignore that. Walk away. Keep seeking His face and not His hand. He will be faithful to shepherd you to a more reverent body for He is the Author and Perfecter of Faith, and of Life. The gospel produces fruit. Where Christ is clearly proclaimed, hearts are awakened, consciences are stirred, and lives are transformed. The office of a preacher/teacher is not only to expound the truth, but to do it in such a way as to lead into the very presence of God, and to maintain a holy life. Imparting the knowledge that puffeth up is not fulfilling the work of a teacher. The true spiritual teacher not only points the way, but by the power of the Holy Ghost, through the truth and a holy example, leads into it. Let's continue to pray for One Community - that those truly alive in Christ will be stirred to speak up there or to go on.

  I’ve been wanting to attend church for awhile now, chose to go to one community today and they stuck us in an overflow room to watch on a tv so I wasn’t happy about that. I left still feeling empty.

  I don’t usually write reviews, but I wanted to share how my visit to One Community in Prosper went today. The service itself was nice, and the sermon had a good message. But to be honest, the overall experience didn’t feel very welcoming. Before the service started, an usher TOLD me to move down some seats, which I was fine with, but no one ever came to sit there. Then, a little later, another usher TOLD me to move again. The lady next to me just said she would move! Being TOLD to move twice for no real reason felt a bit uncomfortable. Also, I didn’t realize the sermon would be streamed from the Plano campus. I was really hoping for a live, in-person experience, especially since this was my first time visiting the Prosper location. On top of that, when I was trying to leave, the person directing traffic was pretty rude, which left a bad taste at the end of the visit. Even though the message was good, I just didn’t feel the warmth or hospitality I was expecting from the time I arrived to the time I left. Because of that, I don’t think I’ll be going back. That said, I truly pray these are areas the church will grow and improve in. I still wish nothing but the best for the church and its mission. My search for a church home continues..

  I had one of the most amazing times at occ. Whether you watch it on social media or in church, the experience is so awesome and enriching. The teaching is empowering and igniting. I would definitely recommend occ to everyone. They make you feel like family. A church body that believes that no one should walk alone .

  Summon was good two Sundays we attended with my kids, first I don't see the group to join as a Widow , second my 3rd Grade(8yrs) daughter told me kids are busy with phone other girls are busy with make up during teaching ???? (discipline) although she remembers what was the teaching today , Faith ........ Hebrews, My daughter doesn't play with bible teaching memory verses from previous church , Praise and Worship and Bible reading and memory verses!!! It makes her to grow spiritually, I like think let me still do search ..... Growing a future generation foundation is the key !!!!!

  I notice the little things when visiting a church to wit; if you are greeted by the parking crew, welcomed when you enter the sanctuary, greeted by the usher or just rushed to you seat. The most important thing is the pastor quoting Bible verses or a showman. All the things mentioned or minor because the main purpose for attending church is to be feed the word. The word was educational today, gave me something to think about to make my life better.

  On my first visit, this past Sunday, somehow my 2yr old walked out of the classroom (all the way outside the church) without anyone noticing. When I went to check my daughter out after service the teacher told me someone had already checked her out!!!! I almost lost my mind. 10 minutes of looking in EVERY SINGLE CLASSROOM, one of the teachers helpers walks in carrying my daughter. I asked her where she was and she said, my daughter was outside the church. 2YRS OLD! Good church, great community, great pastor but if you have kids check them in at your own risk.
