This is a "name it and claim it" style church. This church teaches a "prosperity gospel". The pastor claims he started to become a true believer after listening to sermons from Kenneth Copeland.

Came to visit Odessa. We were so Glad to arrive and find there was actual service being held. We had tried another church and Noone was there. Thankfully this was the 2nd church I had considered attending. It turned out to be a true blessing. Want to thank you all for having the translating headphones. Being so kind to my mother who joined me. Kudos to whoever setup that Beautiful Cross and all the Christmas decorations. God bless.

Great family church some call it a mega church but it’s a huge family full of love. Pastor Don has a heart for his congregation and love for his community. Changed my life and my future and helped me elevate my families life to a whole new Glory of Gods goodness. I never had a revelation of Gods love until i walked through these church doors. Thank you God for my church and church family .

I was born and raised in this church, and because of that, it will always hold a special place in my heart. I have witnessed its growth over many years, and I remember when its mission centered on serving people, meeting needs, and demonstrating Christ's love through action. Since Pastor Paulette's passing, however, I have personally seen significant changes that have been difficult to watch. In my opinion, the church has shifted away from the servant-hearted ministry it once embodied and has become increasingly focused on fundraising and financial initiatives. While I understand that every church has operating expenses, it often feels as though nearly every event revolves around raising money. The leadership structure has also changed considerably. Many of the original staff members and long-time church families who helped build this ministry have left over the years. That alone should encourage reflection. While change is inevitable, losing so many dedicated people raises important questions about the overall direction and culture of the church. Sadly, the welcoming atmosphere that once defined this congregation no longer feels the same. Many visitors and former members have shared that they feel judged or uncomfortable when they attend. Rather than experiencing genuine fellowship, there appears to be an atmosphere where cliques exist, making it difficult for newcomers or those outside established groups to feel accepted. I can think of only one person who consistently makes everyone feel genuinely welcomed at the door. Another concern is the culture within both the ministry and workplace. Behaviors that appear unhealthy, divisive, or driven by personal agendas seem to go unaddressed. When jealousy, favoritism, or unhealthy competition are tolerated, it reflects on leadership and ultimately affects the entire church body. Scripture teaches that leaders are called not only to preach God's Word but to model it through humility, generosity, and service. While I have heard many sermons about serving others, I have personally not seen the same level of visible servant leadership that once inspired this congregation. Actions often speak louder than words. It is also disheartening to see church members volunteer their time, talents, and resources to prepare food or create items for events, only for those same items to be sold back to the congregation as fundraisers. While fundraising has its place, there should also be opportunities for fellowship and generosity without everything carrying a price tag. No church is perfect, and every congregation has flaws because it is made up of imperfect people. This is not written to condemn but to express genuine sadness over what I believe has been lost. My hope is that the church remembers the heart that once made it special—a place where people were genuinely loved, welcomed, served, and cared for. My prayer is that the church returns to being known not for its building, its programs, or its fundraising efforts, but for its compassion, integrity, humility, and unwavering commitment to serving both its congregation and the community.

Was one of the early members in 80's. Left & never looked back. Spent 30+ yrs trying to resolve negative "take aways" from that church. Ultimately became agnostic, bitter, lost. I have become a renewed Christian/prodigal daughter... now 71 & look back at ocfc and wish I had never attended that church. Thankful I have learned truths and now have peace.

Everything is amazing to the welcoming feeling to the food at the Cafe.this church complety changed my perspective and my relationship with God.and that's not the only thing the people are a whole different and amazing story there are people that greet you at every corner and I look forward to their warm smiles and hugs every Sunday and wedsday.and I love how the pastor is so involved he goes and sits in the lobby after every service and has a good chat with you the way he talks to you makes you feel comfortable and like you've known him your whole life, the only downside to him is that his voice is so calming I catch myself struggling to stay awake during service.i love his wife mary she is beautifull I love her smile and she always dresses the best, her dresses are always full of color and never fail to amaze me

I can't say enough good things about the people behind the scenes. We meet with them to get a tour of the new building and they were very friendly and helpful. I was surprised at the amount of detail these guys put in to building the project, and how well they stuart everything that God has given them. To the smallest details, God bless you and your congregation. Thank you.

The place is super clean everyone very welcoming and great word but my reason for a low rating is... A lady made my wife and baby go to the lobby because he was making "baby noises" that lady screaming "come on!" Was so much more distracting!!! It's the first time we go to this church and the last time.....

Went for my first time was beginning to feel it but then the political bias of the pastor creeped in to service. I go for spiritual growth I was yearning turned me off. The Almighty is neither party of our political Gov. Please do better.

This church teaches a false gospel called the “Prosperity Gospel”. Went there for 6 months and never grew spiritually. All they teach is health and wealth - Jesus is way much more than that! I DO NOT RECOMMEND!

There's no denying the unconditional love of God. The people of OCFC are compassionate and welcoming. Pastor Don doesn't teach a fire and brimstone service, but neither does he beat around the bush about Who God is and who we are in Him when we accept our Savior.

Everyone was friendly, especially the greeters. The Pastor was very informative about the scriptures he preached about. Our kids loved the inspirational music in the beginning.
