The North Fort Hood Chapel is a great place to go to get out of the barracks. The times for Sunday religious service are displayed in multiple locations so everyone can know what times to meet for whichever religious service they need. It has many board games to play and it has free WiFi for either your phone or computer. Sometimes they hold events for movies for to watch a major sporting event.

Very Kind. All unit commanders should bring soldiers there with in 24hts of being on ground to help their joes. Especially during GOVt shut downs or pay transistions.

Guard at entrance want very friendly. Had to cars full of soldiers all had ids- one car driven by white female aunt of one soldier no issue passing... Didn't even ask for DL, just checked soldier if and told ok to pass Other truck driven by Mexican father of one of soldiers. Bed of truck full of luggage. Asked for DL, id of soldiers told he needed a permit to be on base 😞 Seem like racially profiling

A Serene Sanctuary: The North Fort Cavazos Chapel Delights the Senses I recently had the pleasure of visiting the North Fort Cavazos Chapel, and I must say it left a lasting impression on me. This charming chapel nestled within the picturesque surroundings of North Fort exceeded all my expectations. Upon entering the chapel, I was immediately struck by its tranquil ambiance. The soft lighting and hushed atmosphere created a sense of serenity, making it an ideal space for contemplation and reflection. The chapel's design beautifully combines modern elements with classic architectural features, resulting in a harmonious blend that is both inviting and soothing. The attention to detail within the chapel is truly remarkable. From the meticulously crafted stained glass windows that bathed the interior in ethereal hues to the thoughtfully placed wooden pews, every element seems to have been carefully considered to enhance the overall experience. The subtle floral arrangements added a touch of elegance without overpowering the space, while the gentle scent of incense provided a sensory treat. One aspect that stood out to me was the chapel's versatility. It effortlessly accommodated both intimate gatherings and larger ceremonies. The acoustics were excellent, allowing the harmonious sounds of hymns and prayers to resonate throughout the chapel. Whether it's a wedding, memorial service, or a quiet moment of solace, the North Fort Cavazos Chapel is an ideal setting for various occasions. Always a place to relax no matter what you're doing. Watch TV, play video games, listen to music or simply just sit back and relax.

Gotta put some DOD money in the place to make it more like a Chapel with a wing for MWR activities.
