Normally I do not comment on churches. I will say that the worship leader and band plays and sings a few songs within 25-35 minutes, meaning turns a 3 min song into 11 minutes. The songs are not my style. I did enjoy the lesson about peace during the christmas season message spoken by pastor Joey's wife. I attended the services for the baptism of Leann Blaisdell.

I love the Holy Spirit in this church. The people are so welcoming and the sermons touch my spirit. This is my new home.

Absolutely the best church in Weatherford! The messages, the worship service 🙌 ❤️ , and the sincere love from the members are a true reflection of Christ Jesus, his mighty power to change us, giving us a purpose to serve one another, through our small contributions making a difference in the community, creating hope in these dark uncertain times, we come together and unite regardless of political polarity, we unite as family, as brothers and sisters in Christ, knowing the mission is to do God's will to rescue souls from an eternal hell, and into life everlasting through our Lord and Savior, King Jesus! Amen 🙏.

We joined this church in August 2022, and even though it’s only been a short time, we have felt so much love and acceptance while attending new River. If you truly visit, you will understand their mission for others and themselves to live a Christ, like life by loving others, and spreading the word. New River has such an amazing system they use when it comes to their teachings, finances, and outpour, and it’s truly inspiring. They help local nonprofits and charities flourish. They have truly changed our life as a family because of their love. I highly suggest coming to visit, especially if you want to break down the walls between you and Christ. Worship will truly have you in tears while you lift your hands, you won’t be disappointed.

Parking was a distance. No one to show u where u could sit. People up front. Almost left because seats were saved for those up front. Finally found a seat. Too big a church for me!

Very good music and a beautiful sermon on Mathew sermon on the mount. Friendly congregation greeted me at the door with smiles and handshakes. I'll be back for sure. Great coffee too

Read an article from the pastor about another minister that has a church and school close by to his that really made bad accusations. This article is a prime example of religious leaders casting stones. Shame on them and really not a place of worship if they can’t follow the scripture

If you're looking for a concert and are under 30, you might enjoy this place. I attended, and the Bible wasn't opened once. The service mainly consists of a man singing a 3-minute song, which he then repeats himself for 5-8 minutes, asking everyone to stand. I hope he's compensated well, as the preacher/pastor/leader only participates about a quarter of the time. This was not what church should be about, but I guess it gets the younger crowd to participate.

My daughter was very excited to join the children’s class again, unfortunately she was turned away today. We were told her class was “full” and she can sit with me in the service. It’s difficult to explain this to a 5 yr old. I don’t know, but we were disappointed and sadly won’t be back. I think the church is too large and can’t welcome everyone.
