  NLT is a well-balanced church, loaded with year-round activities for every member of the family. Children, youth, women, and men all have specialized activities that involve spiritual and recreational activities. For example, volleyball and soccer is played regularly Sunday evenings. Then, during certain months teams are formed to play at the district level against other churches for championship. Sunday services include Sunday school classes and nursery classes. Children ages 3-10 go to their classes. Youth attend Sunday school on Wednesday’s and some serve as ushers, teachers, and teacher assistants during Sunday service. Breakfast tacos are sold every Sunday for $1 between English and Spanish service transition 11:15-11:30pm. There are three services currently—two Spanish and one English— that involve a brief welcome, worship songs, offering, and dismissal of classes as seen through the TV monitors announcements, preaching, and altar call. Services last an hour to an hour and a half regularly. The first service of the month offers meetings after church where departments are informed of upcoming activities at the local, district, and national level. The end of the month is family and friends day where food is provided at no cost to those who attended service. The women of the church cook, the youth serve the food by walking up to the tables in teams and passing out items with hairnets, and the men clean up afterward. It’s a holistic church with the entire family in mind. If you’re interested in attending, I recommend you try it out for a month and attend the monthly activities beyond the Sunday services to get the whole feel for it. Overall, this is a family friendly church with lots of events on the local, district, and national level.
