This place is not it to the disabled or broken seeking the lord , in my opinion. I hate to grade a church, but as a first impression , taking a disabled vets seat “ due to it only being for workers “ and being rude after while he goes outside to grief his many loses, is not cool. I arrived early to the Spanish service, my same seat, no problem, they let me sit and even said hey ! Loved it ! as soon as I get up to cry privately outside and return before the English service even starts , my stuff placed and the seat is gone. I choose to sit in the back because of my loses, I’m emotional. and I have to be close to a bathroom due to medical issues, and I don’t want to sit next to family’s and ruin there peace on a Sunday , especially after I just lost mine. And to be sassy about it ? Why are we being hostile and the opposite of welcoming in a church ? I did nothing wrong , I heard an usher comparing the Spanish service to the English service, and the numbers in them, and I can tell you, Spanish service was loving and made me want to stay the tail end of the service I saw, after this encounter,I don’t even wanna go to a church I’m so tired of the fake faith people. I just wanted Gods word delivered in a church after I just moved here this week. I needed a place to grief. I don’t know how that is an issue for a new visitor. You would not do that with Jesus in the room nor in front of the very nice pastors. that made you and the church look immature and unprofessional. I would watch how you treat new people or atleast ask them how they’re doing before you use your self entitlement to take away the only peace I tried to find today, a place to feel safe and comfortable in a church to help with my mental health. I had a bad first time experience at new life in Galveston, that is the truth and I hope the workers needed the one seat tucked against a wall next to a whole stack of other identical chairs, made me feel unworthy and valueless to even be there , that was my experience at new life church and worship didn’t even start yet 👍🏼 I love and forgive , I will end this with a compliment , those hope shirts on pre sale where so nice. And the Spanish service was the nicest. This also was the cleanest church I’ve ever been to ! Really is well invested in and the aesthetic of the church, is quality. Even the bathrooms were spotless. I wish I could of said those things in a five star review. if your coming solo, I wouldn’t go

I came here three years ago when I was in nursing school and I am thankful I did. The beautiful people and their spirit instill the missing piece in my life and enhanced my relationship with God stronger. I don’t live here anymore but I still will watch online the services to hear the wonderful messages and the Word. Everyone still in their journey should come here because you will never regret it. Many blessings and much love to this place.

My family and I have been attending NewLife since 2000, and now that I have a wife and two little ones. I cannot think of a better place church to be connected too. I love that its in Galveston, Tx, it make getting lunch after church a dream, with all the great places on island. The worship is great and the Pastor always gives a great Bible lead message. Plus, when we are not in town we can join online. Love my church. Give it a try.

Pr. David Gomez and his son David Jr. (Dude) are mighty men of God in this island town. They speak truth in two languages. They are a treasure to our community.
