New life family church is one of the most embracing communities I’ve ever been a part of. There’a always a clear message that comes directly from the Bible. The church has its doors open everyday of the week and serves the needs of the community. Recommend if you are looking for a home church.

Great church! A friend invited me here and I felt at home. The pastor greeted me and told me this was my home. I attend by myself but now I have made friends in fellowship. I chose this church because it is a bible based church, has accountability,always feel welcomed and the people treat me with respect. Good diversity as well from all ages. There is bible study for kids and a beautiful coffee bar where you can grab a latte! Being a millennial is hard finding the right church but so far my friends are also really liking New Life! And we stream online as well when we can’t make it! I would definitely recommend coming here if your looking for a home church or are visiting from out of town 😊

I absolutely love this church. Let me tell you about my experience: My husband and I started attending 3 months ago, and we immediately felt the Holy Spirit touch us while we sang worship music. Then I started bringing my parents to the Wednesday Spanish mass, and as I was singing along to worship music one day with my eyes closed, I felt a huge figure next to me putting his arm around me…like a protector. My mind still cannot believe I was able to witness this, I know God walks with this church because of all the things I’ve felt here (I know a lot has to do with my personal faith, however, they have been much help as far how far I’ve gotten here faith wise). Other things to note: they have a great child care system, my 2 year old loves it. Everyone is helpful and non judgemental to new comers. My family and I have all felt very welcomed. 🙌🩷

This morning I attempted to take my 7-year-old autistic son to my favorite church, New Life Family Church. This is a church I have been part of since 2015 when it was simply a Thursday night Bible study at a borrowed space. We came to church this morning expecting worship, community, and belonging. My son relies on a small bag of sensory items to help him regulate. These are not toys; they are accommodations that allow him to stay calm, focused, and present. The church does not provide sensory supports. When we arrived, Lisa, who identified herself as the leader of the children’s ministry at New Life Family Church, repeatedly told me that my son could not remain in the children’s class with his accommodation bag, and that because I did not give advance notice that he would be attending, there was nothing she could do. While my son was not physically removed, it was made clear that he could not stay unless his supports were taken away. During this same conversation, another child with disabilities arrived holding a Pooh Bear stuffed animal and wearing her own backpack. Lisa paused the conversation with me to ensure that this child’s comfort items were also removed. Seeing this happen to another family made it clear that this was not an isolated misunderstanding. Because of this experience, my son became dysregulated and deeply sad. For hours afterward, he continued asking me, “Why couldn’t I stay in the church class if I love Jesus?” That question is why I’m sharing this. Children with disabilities already face barriers in schools, public spaces, and social settings. Church should not be one of them. Inclusion is not special treatment. It is removing unnecessary barriers so all children can worship, learn, and belong. Scripture tells us, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19). There is a nation of special-needs children who love and honor God. When churches are not prepared to receive them as they are, families are left without a church home, not because they lack faith, but because they are excluded. This experience highlights the urgent need in the RGV for accessible and inclusive children’s ministries. *UPDATE!!* After I posted my original review, a pastor from New Life Family Church found my personal Facebook within minutes and messaged me privately, attempting to encourage me to remove my review due to potential misunderstanding and negative commentary. He promised we would have a meeting to address what happened and talk about making the children’s ministry more inclusive. I made it clear I wasn’t comfortable removing my review, but I was willing to meet. He agreed to set a day after he was back from his Christmas travels. Obviously, That meeting never happened. After asking me to take my concerns out of the public eye and promising a conversation, he completely stopped responding. I was ghosted. This is the church I extended my offerings and tides to for years. & they swept us under the rug. Families of children with special needs deserve better than this, both in how they are treated and how concerns are handled afterward. Experiences like this don’t just hurt families, they discourage them from returning at all.

This church is very welcoming. Pastor Eli is amazing! The worship team is very spiritual. All the volunteers are very approachable and willing to help. We have been part of this church for about 3 years and we are very happy. We have grown spiritually and have made wonderful friends. Highly recommend it!!

Wonderful people of congregation and leaders, dedicated and passionate about Christ Pastors.. prayed about finding a local church with devoted leadership. And First time there, I knew it was my Church. Don't ever want to leave..... Whatever God has for me though.

We have been attending this church for six months now and the Pastors are very professional,respectful, and knowledgeable of all biblical teachings . The atmosphere is very peaceful and you can feel the sincerity of the members. I highly recommend this church!

I had the privilege of visiting this church with my family. It's a very welcoming congregation and the Pastors are very humble. We didn't feel like visitors. Message was on point with scripture to back it up the way it should be. No watered down gospel. Would definitely visit again when we're in town.

Amazing place where the word of God is preached. Straightforward, never watered down but always in love. Pastors Eli and Leo are two of the most humble and caring pastors I’ve ever met. Along with the rest of the staff, they pour out unconditional love on everyone that walks in through the church doors. Personally, I am grateful that the Lord brought me here. ❤️❤️
