Today is 03/06/2026. I arrived in Rockport 01/16/2026from close to Boston, MA, via one year in NC. I fell in love with the south. Circumstances led me back to MA for a brief visit and I knew I needed to get back South. All alone with my clothes and cat. 16 operations after a head on accident in 2018. I was starting to lose hope and the will to press on, for 4 years I averaged an operation every 4 months. That's just my foot and ankle, there is more. One day I said enough is enough my faith in God will find me a way back to the South and find a home. I found the best home and immediate family at New Beginnings Ministries. I arrived Saturday night and went to church Sunday morning and I have not felt alone for one minute. In fact I have never felt so good. I feel I am where I am supposed to be and I owe it to the love of Jesus first, but I am telling you all, he is working through the people at NBM. I was immediately welcomed and told I was loved. WE gather Monday nights, we eat together wednesday nights. Folks run a food pantry at the church. Plenty of opportunity to meet new people, make new friends, and serve. Most important be seen, be loved, and taught the word of God.

I've\nBeen to 6 food pantries , this one is about average . The people are wonderful, couldn't get better but how's for the food? typical of most pantries? The produce is on the rotting side and the meats are expired. This is why the companies donate them, they get a tax benefit or write off for something they would have had to throw away. This , in no way discredits , the pantry people , they have no control over what they get However, they had an exceptional variety of cleaning products and other things you could use for the house...very useful However I wish the pantry people would inspect the food they accept. I got bread with molds on it..I know beggars can't be choosers. But we're poor not animals
