  I loved this church when we first started going here in 2017. The music and messages were spiritual and uplifting... but sadly, it has lost its direction a few times, and now I can't seem to connect with the newly appointed Sr. Pastor. I thought the recent choice was interim, but according to their website, he looks pretty permanent. He seems like a nice enough guy, but apparently he came from the parent Methodist church...and if that is what I was looking for, I would have simply gone to that "parent"church. Unfortunately, I won't be back unless/until they find their way. Modern, fresh, and dynamic is what they were... and I pray they get there again..soon. 🤞🙏🏻

  I pray for this church, and the Church of Christ itself. The priorities are not in the right place. The opening and closing worship gives the feel of a jam session. The room feels dead because the congregation doesn’t know the words of these show songs. This should be a place for only the worship of the Holy Trinity. It seems as though the priority is in appearance.

  Munger feels like home. The pastors, Andy and Shaun, are so welcoming and the sermons are intellectual and thoughtful. We have met so many wonderful people and have made new friends there. We are very happy to be a part of Munger Place Church and are thankful for it.

  Still a good place .. but I miss Andrew, Kate, Jake, Rodney, and rosemary. The vibes or culture or something is different. Nothing wrong with the new pastor, but Andrew just felt more charismatic. He seemed to care more about his dress or clothes or being put together. I really like how Andrew gave history and context to bible stories, Andy tries to relate the bible more to current day, often via sports or other things I don't relate to. Change is hard.

  Truly when the first time it reopened being black my wife and I were very skeptical to even go there however after 11+ years, being members, in the choir, my father, mother and wife passing, going through the gentrification of the area, experiencing all the killings of unarmed brothers and sisters by police. Watching the church fulfilled it's community and Godly duties I would say it was the best move we ever did...

  I go to this church. The architecture is beautiful, as is the interior. The pastor is wonderful, they help the community, and the services are inspiring. There are groups to attend, and childcare. There are police to direct walking traffic. I love my church!

  This is an historical church building that has been beautifully restored. Today the congregation and Ministry have a youthful vibe. An annual highlight at this church is the Stations of the Cross tradition. The week before Easter, 10 points of prayer and self-reflection ("stations") are set in the church sanctuary as a perform-it-at-your-own-pace exercise. The exercise in tactile and moving. Each participant rips a piece of cloth, hammers of a nail into a wooden cross and the writes notes about their own need to reform and improve.

  I'm from Minnesota and loved going there when visiting son. Loved the outpouring of love and hospitality, music and eulogy when son passed. Have, and always will keep in touch with church members and Pastor Andrew. 🙏God bless. …

  Fantastic church and a very warm and friendly staff. Pastor Andrew is very easy going and the sermons always tend to have some meaning that seems to be directed to whatever the problems in life that we all go through.

  This church is a blight in the neighborhood. Their events are often extremely loud even early in the morning and their members take all the parking throughout the neighborhood. I have repeatedly had streams of people cutting through my yard back to their cars. It’s really unfortunate to have such a selfish group of people meeting in the neighborhood.

  It's not a good church if they put you out On Sunday on the time they are supposed to open. Open at 8:00am.?
