It was my first visit. I didn’t come looking for people, I came to Jesus. I was sad but Jesus made me glad. I looked around, and I saw a family of different color and personalities, we are not perfect, but despite our imperfections we are a family with a message, meant to transform our lives and that of others. If you took the time to read this, come on by, with an attitude to work and God will put you where you need to be.

Very disappointed and heart broken that the church which I love so dearly would treat the stranger within its gates with such rudeness and disrespect. A very dear friend traveling from GA to NV was in a very serious accident and stranded in an area not far from the church. Just searching through Google we reached out to what we thought was a center of refuge. The lady that answered the phone was very mean spirited, saying “we are not rich!!!! We can’t help everybody!!!” Considering the young truck driver who only escaped the accident with the clothes on his back.... losing everything in the accident, credit cards, ID, money, EVERYTHING... he wasn’t seeking financial assistance. Instead the hopes and prayers of his fellow believers would have made the desolate moments easier to bear. Stranded at a truck stop waiting on the insurance company, a hot Sabbath meal, a friendly smile, a warm embrace and a prayer of encouragement would have made an awesome difference in this young man’s life. Born and raised in the SDA faith with parents and grandparents who have served the faith tirelessly, we were never taught or witnessed anyone behaving in this manner. The lady on the phone yelled, shouted, and slammed the phone down. Shocked, I called back and her response was.... “Im 82 yrs old and I’m here volunteering my time. What do you want us to do? Call 211” then she hung up again. I was once young but now I’m a little older and I’ve never seen the righteous for saken or HIS seed begging for bread. God is so amazing. A beer drinking, chain smoker, and his fur ball doggie, in a beat up old truck came by the truck stop and showed the stranger the LOVE that truly displayed Christian LOVE. To God be the GLORY!!!
