I grew up in that organization and remained there for almost 30 years. At the age of 9, I was abused by the elder or pastor of my congregation more than three times. Since the organization's corporate rules do not allow reporting a pedophile to the authorities, we had to live through hell for several years. When my mother finally decided to notify the authorities, the elders told her not to, but she went ahead anyway. Eventually, the criminal was sentenced, and more than 25 minors were discovered to be victims in more than three congregations. I have undergone psychological treatment because of that criminal organization, which cares more about its reputation than the suffering of abused children. I still live with the aftereffects that sect left on me, and as a result, more than 90 members of my family left that malevolent society. There are hundreds of documentaries about thousands of cases worldwide and the thousands of lawsuits this organization has had to pay to keep them from coming to light. Thanks to the internet and social media, this organization is being confronted by the authorities, and they have had to pay millions of dollars to victims worldwide. Most Jehovah's Witnesses are good people, but their leaders dictate what is and isn't allowed, and it's precisely these internal rules that the average Witness is unaware of. If you're going to get involved with Jehovah's Witnesses, first ask those who have left the organization, and then look for information online to learn who Jehovah's Witnesses really are.
