I've attended this church for over half my life now. This is a church that truly loves the Lord and preaches the word of God regardless of the ever decaying state this society is in. I've read some of the negative reviews and I am blown away at the ridiculousness, from people who haven't even attended the church to someone who was complaining about the playful jest between family members. To one even complaining about being asked to remove their hat ... (Go try and wear a hat in the Alamo) it's just about having respect in God's house. What's weird is the odd need to attack this church.... If you don't agree or don't like it,move on... that's ok! but to try and tarnish their reputation just goes how shallow these one star reviews are because you now could easily be turning some lost soul away who needs Christ. These folks love the Lord and are winning people over for Christ and ministering to the lost. If you love the Lord and are not afraid of the actual gospel If you don't get offended easily this is a great place to worship and raise a family the right way in a world that has become so rotten. If you do get offended easily, come again and you'll see these people are the real deal. I am thankful for Joshua Baptist Church.

I have read the reviews, both positive and negative and am very surprised at the negative reviews My husband and I have been members of this church for the entire time that we moved to this area. The preachers preach from the KJV of the Bible. Yes - They do add some jokes to their sermons to lighten the mood or wake up the audience. They are very down-to-earth and so are the members of the church. They make everyone feel welcome. I have never felt that the church is conducting a political rally. They teach from the Bible, period. Morals seem to have been lost in today's society. If you are offended, so be it. I guess that you should attend a "Joel Osteen" type of church where it is strictly a "feel good" motivation speech. As for Susan Wise: If you worked for Vision City, I can see why the Preacher's wife may have lost her patience (if in fact she did). Vision City was the worst experience and the biggest waste of money for me, personally. The manager (don't know if it was you) was of no help whatsoever, either. It doesn't surprise me that they are no longer in business. I must also add that we have associated with the Preacher and his wife at both church and personal functions. Both the Senior Preacher and his wife are very nice, kind and accommodating. Pastor Andrew does kid about his talented wife on occasion. I guess, because we know that he is kidding, that it doesn't offend us. His wife would definitely let him know in private if it offended her. I want to conclude by saying if you are looking for a smaller church which teaches the Word from the KJV of the Bible and you want great preaching and a feeling of belonging to a family, you really need to give this church a chance.

We had visited this church a few times for a couple years as our children go to JCA so we would attend different events held at the church and so we were looking for a church home to raise our children in. So we went for a few weeks and the Pastor Brother Andrew and his Wife and Family came over had dinner with Our family and we talked for hours. And we decided to become a member. This is a real Bible church that teaches the Bible not anything else. We have been there for quite sometime now and glade we made the decision. There children’s program is great and there youth program is good as well. I would recommend JBC to anyone and if you’re looking for a GOD fearing, Bible Lead Church please come and join our Family at JBC. Gob Bless

We visited this church more then a few times. We stopped going because we got tired of the Senior Pastor making fun of his son during his sermons, then what made me not go back was when I heard Pastor Andrew make fun his wife intelligence during a sermon. I suggest you all read the book, Love and Respect by Tim Keller and then practice it everyday. I could not believe how disrespectful Andrew was toward his wife, even if it was a joke, it was not right. Made me sad 😞

I am sooo disappointed! We recently moved to the neighborhood and have been very excited to finally be able to attend this morning. We were approached by several people welcoming us and then we were approached by a man (appeared to be a deacon) telling my husband to please remove his cowboy hat! This approach made us very embarrassed and uncomfortable to the point we left before service even started. My husband has always worn a cowboy hat to church! He always removes it for prayer…but has always worn a hat bcz he has a complex of being bald. He’s been through ALOT in the past few years including surviving cancer TWICE! Finally well enough and stable enough to attend a church and was completely shot down by a deacon judging him based on his appearance of wearing a hat!?! I just thought the approach was very disrespectful! My husband showed up for fellowship! How was his hat offending anyone!? I promise it didn’t offend JESUS!!!! Just very disappointed Bcz we have been lost for a while and really looking forward to this new church service and I felt like the devil definitely won today. 💔

While I’ve never attended your church, I felt compelled to address something in regard to growing your church. We have a local business and have provided service for the Senior Pastor’s wife several times. Each time she has come in, she has been one of the most difficult to deal with people we’ve come across in almost two decades of business. The general public can sometimes be challenging but it’s especially shocking when the wife of a Pastor opts to belittle our staff, speak so unkindly to them, and show so much hate. Letting your light shine would be far more productive. Several of our staff do not have a church home and many live in your community. It’s sad that instead of displaying a Christian attitude and demeanor, she has made the choice to be hateful in the very community she is supposed to be ministering to. My prayer is that this is received well and that you take notice of how this has impacted our staff, who have been very hurt by her words and harsh insults. It is not my place to judge, as there is only one Judge, but in our Christian walk I do believe we are to hold one another accountable to be humble servants and do our best to draw others to God, not make them question what church is really all about.
