The 10:45 am Sunday service has by far the best live Christian music I’ve ever heard. A terrific group of musicians and singers featuring the simple yet effective combination of guitar, bass, keyboards, and drums, along with great vocals and back-up vocals, in keys that are singer-friendly. Always an excellent choice of songs that remind me of the flavorful and melodic 60’s pop tunes I grew up on, but based in praise and worship of Jesus Christ. The sound is mixed and balanced at a perfect level - never loud, and always pleasing, and the lyrics are displayed clearly on a large screen behind the band. As for the Message, it’s scripture-based and Pastor Bill is direct, down to earth, and a no-nonsense but gentle kind of guy. Pastor Greg, who is the lead vocalist/guitar player in the band, is humorous and easy going. I highly recommend checking this church out, Baptist or not; follower of Christ, or just peeking in, all are welcome.

I brought an 82 year old friend of my mother's with me because he wanted to go to a Baptist church when his family exploited, abused and neglected him. So we were helping him. The first thing that happened was the pastor's wife grabbed the tag of my shirt and stuffed it back in my shirt. I definitely don't like anybody to touch me. Super inappropriate. When I was taking this man to the sunday school, three people asked us if we wanted to be in the couples sunday school. That was creepy because he's old enough to be my father. I don't understand why they would say that or automatically assume something so inappropriate.

Our Winter Texan church home since we started coming south for the winter in 2023. We love the old hymns during the traditional service. Pastor Greg's preaching is fantastic and the small intimate Sunday School classes are great places for further spiritual growth and equipping.

Pastor Bill has definitely studied the Bible and goes deeper into it. His sermons are to the point and God truly does speak through Bill. God is felt through out the church

I went to go to their food bank, and to ask about their services, for schedule wise, but the woman at the door was very rude kicking us off, I dont know what we where interrupting but the unnecessary aggression just for asking a church about their services was very disheartening. Not sure if that's how Baptists are, I made the mistake of going to them to give christ a chance and the sign was there, never have I felt so insulted. I was looking to open my arms and give whole heartedly to a church just to be told to leave, no leave, and I should go 2 cities down when I am on the island. In 3 years, this is the only place I had a terrible experience. As someone who took up the cloth at one point in my past I still say to follow their advise and " go somewhere else, anywhere else"

Came to the Island for the weekend. Even tho we were far from our Church, still had to find a way to give thanx to our lord by finding a Church near us. We ended up going to Island Baptist Church. Loved how the Pastor goes to greet you which many Pastors don't now a days. The Pastor along with other crew played live music. They worshiped our lord beautiful. I recommend those who go visit to give this Church a chance. They make you feel welcomed and take their time in knowing you. Beautiful service, great worship songs and, God's children together praising our Father. Thank you Pastor and his crew. We'll be going again when we come visit. Blessings 🙏🙌 ...also thank you for the book of songs yall sang today.

Thoroughly enjoyed the friendly people, the pastor's sermons are very thought provoking and life changing. There are events for the Winter Texans which are very well planned. Sunday school was very good also. The music was probably the most disappointing. Some of the songs no one knows. A few of the new praise and worships songs are used which I enjoyed.

Typical church with a stage upfront. Building is low key. It does have a large overflow lot next to the paved lot, but it's not paved.
