Immanuel Lutheran was a great place to visit. Thoughtful worship, friendly fellowship, and a pastor who really remembers you for you. This church is really keen on holding fast to the lutheran liturgy and tradition while bringing forth topics of today's audience in sermons to convey biblical truths. The sacraments are even celebrated every week! Great church for college aged students looking for a home or just a place to visit. Also - great brisket at the end!

My name is Ryan Poyner and this happens to be my son’s google account. My mother suffered a stroke 4/21. It was an absolute roller coaster for our family. My mother attended this church on a regular basis up until approximately 2 years ago when there was difference of opinion on open carry in the church during service. Just trying to be transparent. My mother’s condition worsened on 4/30 and we knew it would be terminal. Trying to do what I could for my mother and our family, I reached out to the church and left a voicemail informing them of my mother’s condition and making a request to see if Pastor could come by and say a prayer for her and provide our family some comfort. On May 1st at approximately 12:00 pm i hadn’t heard back from anyone so I reached out again. A nice lady answered the phone and I began to tell my story and she asked if I was Ryan? I said yes and she informed me that she had passed along to Pastor. She then informed me that it was Friday and this was Pastor’s day off, I informed her to please reach out see if there was anything he could do to come by for my mom.My mom passed on Sunday without a reply from Pastor. My father informed me he texted Pastor on Sunday but had not heard back. Monday our family reached out to see if Pastor would officiate my mother’s service. Pastor informed my father that since they hadn’t attended regularly for the past two years he did not feel comfortable officiating. This interaction has left me confused. I was a firefighter/paramedic for 25 years and if you call 911 we came running.

We attended here for about 2 years before moving. The congregation is warm and inviting, we found them both liturgical and confessional. The pastor and his family are faithful servants.
