( about the pantry not the church) Called to inquire about Holiday hours for their food pantry and before I could finish my question they hung up on me and when I called back,in case it was an accident they didn't answer. I tried to leave a voicemail and it was suddenly disconnected, in the middle of my leaving the message. All I needed to know was if they were going to have a food pantry this close to the Thanksgiving holiday or not so that my elderly neighbors wouldn't waste gas driving all the over to them. Guess what he drove all the way over there and no pantry. He had only 1/3 tank of gas. I checked their Facebook and website and no mention of their pantry being closed. I wholeheartedly believe that if your organization can't one be of a kind character in dealing with the community in which they serve or two, aren't equipped to making sure the community is well informed about their outreach services on a regular basis those should be reasons to pass the buck to a church or other organizations truly invested so that no one is harmed. I'm a social worker and it is our moto that no harm should wvenlr be done. While many may not care about that motto I do with everything in me. The world would be a much better place if people cared about the details a little bit more.
