What's not to love? My husband, 4 kids, and I moved to Abilene from DFW and we were in search of our new church family. We live in S Abilene so we figured we would visit Holy Family first, and we are so happy we did! We loved the diverse congregation and how friendly everyone was. The mass was lively and motivational. After 4-5 weekly masses, we decided to become members and sign up our kids for religious education. So happy we found our church!

Sunday, May 12, 2024. My husband, Richard and I attended the 10:30 Mass there. The church is just beautiful. The choir was super. But Most of all Father’s sermon was superb, outstanding, fantastic AND more. I attend Bible classes here in San Antonio. I only wish that my friends from class were there. They would love it. We were amazed at the congregation - they were mainly young, very reverend all during the service, and knew all the rubrics. No one had to tell them when to stand or sit. They were with it. I’ve been bragging about our whole experience there since we came back to San Antonio. God bless the Catholics of Abilene

This is a nice Catholic church but it has a large number of families and at times lacks that small town church community atmosphere. I felt like a number not a person. The masses can be full and the parking lot is crazy. The church is very clean and beautiful. The priest, deacons, employees and volunteers are all nice, competent and helpful.

Moved to Abilene back in June and glad we found our catholic church so close to our home. They made us feel very welcomed since day one. My 4 children are also attending religious education here.

I go to this church everytime I'm in town. A little different in procedure, such as kneeling right after communion and remaining in this position until bread is put away. My regular church would return from communion standing to sing along with choir and continue to stand until the communion bread is put away and priest sits down. But all Catholic churches are slightly different wherever you go, so that's understandable. Church is very clean and friendly. Congregation is diverse in age and different races as well. Church provides religious education for children as well. Overall this is a great church. I have not experienced some of the negative feedback posted previously by others.

I live in Dallas now and I must say I miss Holy Family very much. Will always have my heart. I miss Father Fred as well.

Wonderful people and Church. One of the things we miss most about Abilene. God Bless Fr.Fred, all the clergy and the beautiful works they do!

Our 2 priests are wonderful, caring men who make our church a warm & joyful place to worship Our Lord.

They have several masses for people who have different hours. I my self go to Sacred Heart Parish with Father Albert.
