We started going to Highland Park United Methodist during COVID virtually. Our son Langston loves the Belong and The Walk ministries and I am thrilled that he has found a place there. My husband loves playing violin with the Kingdom Singers during the special needs service. We also love Cornerstone and Matt Tuggle is awesome because he has a background in working with children with special needs. The only thing that is missing for me is that bonding access with other moms with special needs kiddos or a place my husband and I can get to know other couples. It's a little isolating but I realize that our schedule is tight to allow for that. There's never a perfect church but I believe this is a perfect place for us to give our kiddo the safe environment he needs to grow and understand the love of Christ!

This is not a politically correct, cold church. Rather it is a church where genuine love for Jesus and for people is evident. It seems like there has been an agreement made by the enormous staff that says, "Someone's lasting impression of this church may be set by how YOU respond to them." The entire staff is polite, courteous and ready to help. The content of the sermons by several ministers is biblical. The music--sounds good enough to be classed "professional" by me, yet totally sincere. A last note: don't hesitate to bring your children, from birth on up. There is quality care and programs for all of them.

I have been unable to attend the church since I joined but I have found the senior ministers to deliver excellent sermons that speak to me. I sometimes listen to past sermons as well. Their website offers guidance beyond my expectation. I pray that one day I will be well enough to attend.

I always feel welcome here. I would also say the staff overall really cares about people. Katie Payne and Leslie Watson really do a great job with handling the greeters for the Cornerstone Service. The porters maintain the restrooms and floors and tables well.
