  Great Mission Trip Location in South Texas This is a fantastic place to bring youth or family mission groups. Located in Brownsville—near Mexico, South Padre, and SpaceX—it’s both convenient and impactful. The dorms (76 beds each for males and females) can house up to 152 people, with a large common area for meals and games during free time. Meals are included, with a great variety—fruit, bacon, sausage, eggs, biscuits, gravy, beef, chicken, rice, potatoes, salad, vegetables, beans, hot dogs, hamburgers, sandwiches, etc., plus options for picky eaters like cereal and PB&J. There’s also a smoker and a fully stocked kitchen. Coffee lovers will appreciate the k-cup machines and fixings. Groups have access to a whole refrigerator and coolers for hydration supplies, and a garage full of tools. There’s always meaningful work to do at the mission center or in the Brownsville community. Our youth group has been coming for years. The people in Brownsville are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Through their time here, our students have learned real hands-on skills—like painting, brush clearing, landscaping, electrical work, demolition, and fence building—all while serving and making a difference in the community. At the end of the week, students clean up after themselves and learn valuable life skills—like sweeping, mopping, wiping down counters and tables, and cleaning toilets and showers.   Our church group has stayed here on two different mission trips into Mexico. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The lodging is sufficient for our needs - not fancy but sufficient. We love what this mission center is doing around Brownsville and Matamoros to share Christ with the lost.

  Great place but honestly they need to make sure it's clean before they rent it out. Because we cleaned it before leaving. But you do get a good nights rest.
