All are welcome at Granbury First. The Church has hosted a drive through food pantry on the first Friday of each month for many years that is an amazing ministry and reflects the servant hearts of the membership.

I have found this church to be a truly remarkable and welcoming place of worship. While the congregation is composed primarily of older members, the community radiates warmth, love, and genuine care. From the moment you arrive, there is an atmosphere of hospitality that makes individuals feel at home, regardless of their background or stage in life. The grounds and facilities are beautifully maintained, with thoughtfully designed spaces that invite reflection, connection, and participation in a variety of activities. The facilities provide far more than a stunning sanctuary for worship. The church offers opportunities for pickleball, Tai Chi, exercise classes for all physical abilities, Bible studies, Sunday school classes, children’s programs, women’s and family advocacy initiatives, self-development workshops, holistic health activities, and other special interest groups. These activities not only foster personal growth but also provide meaningful opportunities for others to participate, contribute, and engage in community life. Additionally, the church hosts events in collaboration with the Brazos Chamber Orchestra, providing the community with enriching cultural and musical experiences. These offerings create a vibrant environment where people can gather, grow, and share life together in meaningful ways. The church serves as a hub for community, fostering both spiritual and social engagement for members of all ages. One of the most admirable qualities of this church is its openness. Individuals are encouraged to share their gifts and talents, resulting in worship experiences that are diverse, heartfelt, and deeply enriching. Whether through music, teaching, or service, each person has the opportunity to contribute and feel valued. At its heart, this church proclaims a message of mercy and grace—teachings that are compassionate, forgiving, and non-judgmental. It is both refreshing and inspiring to be part of a faith community where acceptance is not only spoken but consistently demonstrated in action. This is a place where faith may be nurtured, and where individuals can experience true support, belonging, and the peace of a beautiful and welcoming environment.

We were referred to the food pantry here by Workforce Solutions of Granbury. We were told via phone conversation that we would receive 2 bags of food. At first, we were worried that would not be enough for our family of 5, but WOW! When we unpacked the bags, it was like Christmas for us! In addition to the abundance of food items, there was a gallon zip lock bag filled with a few cosmetic necessities such as a toothbrush and toothpaste, etc. A sweet card was enclosed that said: " Jesus Loves You ". We were truly blessed by the generosity of this church's food pantry!

We love GFUMC! The people of this church are some of the most amazing people I have ever encountered. They love God and love to educate about God. They have many successful ministries that serve the community and their children's program is more than a blessing!

I was looking for a food pantry. Called this church. No answer. Drove out since I had heard they have one. While driving through a lady in a white Mercedes suv backed out in front of me with no regard. There was no one to help. :/ I left with nothing.

Very unwelcoming, unfriendly people. They do not wish to grow their congregation, this is a club for older people to talk bad about everyone else.

A church in all sense. Not only do they say love the Lord, love one another, and serve one another...they actually practice what they preach.
