This place is so awesome. It tells the story of the footprints in the Sand just by the monument itself. No words needed. Then there are the folks who have donated to make this place happen. It is truly a peaceful beautiful place even though it sits right beside a very busy highway. This is a must see place for anyone looking for a special/ different kind of peaceful place

We were driving through this small town my husband worked here a while back and saw this park. It was so beautiful and an awesome tribute to the Footprints. I loved it and it's one of the most beautiful parks I've ever seen. You definitely must stop when you're in the area or driving through. A very tranquil and comforting place to just sightsee or sit and have some lunch and enjoy the fresh air.

This gorgeous heart wrenching monument/sculpture is a must see, located in Carthage, TX. It puts a great visual to the famous poem "Footprints in the Sand" , it's the most touching reminder that if you're going through hard times in this life that you do not go through them alone. Our Lord and Savior carries us through them. If you're in Carthage , Texas , don't leave without visiting this monument. While you're there step into the center and sing a little ..the accoustics on that spot are unbelievable, you got a try it!

What an incredible place to stop during a small roadtrip to stretch our legs! Such an amazing amount of detail in the sculpture/statue! Loved going around looking at all the etched plaques! So serene & beautiful! I was glad to see they had Porta potties here as well.

Me, my wife and our youngest son went to see the Footprints in the Sand Monument in Carthage, Texas after I got off work yesterday. The drive took 43 minutes from our home and was pleasant due to there being virtually no traffic on the roads. The Monument is BREATHTAKING! So much detail and care was given by all that participated in creating this inspirational Monument. I myself, actually saw the back story on the Monument and the poem that moved the creator of it on KTBS 4th of July celebration on television and thought of how wonderful it would be to one day see it in person. It is TRULY a one of a kind work of art that I pray is pleasing in the eyes of God and brings conviction to those that make the journey to behold it. God bless us all.

Came here on an early Saturday afternoon and encounter a nice gentleman who told us how the town raised the money for this display. Really neat and a quick stop if you are driving through. They are still in the process of completing the chapel.

It is such a beautiful monument and serene setting, although located close to a Highway I was not distracted by noise at all while I visited there today . I always loved the Footprints in the Sand poem , and to see this poem be put into a life size beautiful piece of artwork to show all that Jesus is always with us and in times of struggle he carries us .truly gave me the spiritual lift I needed today .
