I moved here from AZ about a year ago. I started looking for a church to attend with my mom, and we have never felt more welcomed at any church ever. Love the pastor’s sermons, and the congregation so much! If you are looking for a small but welcoming church, this is the one!

I grew up in this church then moved away from Rockwall after school. I recently moved back to Rockwall and I will say 100% this is still one of the most welcoming, loving, inclusive, supportive, and well-centered congregations I have ever known. Church is family. Covid-19 took away in-person worship for a while, but Pastor Cheryl and the leadership team has done an amazing job with on-line worship each Sunday, as well as many other on-line events and meetings for the entire congregation throughout each week including the kids! Recently starting some "socially distanced" in-person gatherings outside to keep everyone as safe as possible, so stay tuned!

First Presbyterian Church of Rockwall has the most loving congregation! The mission statement of “Feel the love. Be the love” is lived out in the many charitable organizations the church supports. Bob Reeves, a former minister of FPC, started Helping Hands, and the church continues to be an avid supporter. Members also serve breakfast at Stewpot Ministries in downtown Dallas, collect holiday gifts for children in protective care, volunteer at facilities that nurture unwanted animals, sponsor blood drives and participate in the the fight to cure ALS. The church also has a great music program featuring the organ, piano, vocal and bell choirs. The church is relatively small and provides the opportunity to truly feel as if you’re part of the family of Christ.

When our family moved from overseas to Texas in the early 1980's for my husband's job, it wasn't long before we found First Presbyterian Church. This church became our local family, supporting us with love and friendship. This is a small church but we have a big heart for international missions, national missions (example: hurricane relief) and local missions (such as Helping Hands). Pastor Cheryl Taylor and staff, and our Session (Leadership Team) and congregants all exemplify our motto "Feel the love, Be the love".

This was a great church!! This is where I went growing up and I always loved it. The youth group was amazing!! I did so many great things with the youth group! It was always fun and I learned so much! Every year we went to Goodland Boys home for about a week and we were able to do something to help them out! It was the mission trip of a lifetime!! This church is open minded, friendly, fun and just a great group of people. You will fall in love after your first visit!! Great place to go if you have children as well!!

I have been a member since 1972 when we had the church o the square. Even after I moved away I still considered this my home church. And since moving back to Rockwall I came back and it was though I never was away. Warm, friendly, accepting, and everything I could want or need in a church....from Pastor to congregation....all are welcome and loved

Wonderful church and group of people. The staff is very open to answering questions, lending a hand, and being there for you in any season of life. This church feels very much like a big family and welcomes any person within its walls.

Was Going through a very rough time. Had no where to turn to so I googled church near me. Pull into this place there is a group of individuals sitting in lawn chairs and a few cars parked with windows down. I pull in next to the cars very upset and distraught Just wanting to talk to some one, a hug, advice anything. I sit there for a while praying and hoping someone would notice and come talk to me. Just figured no one noticed Until individuals came out of the church and moved there cars Away from mine and rolled up the windows in there cars as if I was there to steal. Felt very unwanted in god’s house.
