I was visiting out of town and as I was driving, I felt the Holy Spirit encourage me to go to church service in Johnson City. I randomly picked First Methodist and what a glorious blessing! The sermon was inspiring and folks were welcoming. I will go again.

Just today, these people with beautiful hearts became the hands and feet of Jesus to not one, but 30 strangers who asked for help. Our church bus, carrying our beloved teenagers back from youth camp, broke down in the Texas heat on the interstate at 2:30 in the afternoon. After trying unsuccessfully, with the help of mechanics, for 4 hours to fix it, our youth leader called and asked a local church for help. These lovely people made multiple trips in their smaller bus to rescue our kids. They not only gave them "a cup of cool water," but fed them and opened up all of their facilities to entertain them for over two and a half hours until our caravan of parents could arrive at 9:30 p.m. They were so gracious to all of us when we arrived and accommodated us in every way. We cannot say THANK YOU enough to these dear people who took in not just one, but 30 strangers and met their every need with no expectation of any kind of reciprocation. I saved this tidbit of info for last... we're NOT from the same denomination, yet they took us in and loved us like Jesus would. Jesus doesn't care about denominations or skin color, or anything else, He cares about the condition of our 💓. God bless all of you at the First United Methodist Church of Johnson City... ... from your grateful brothers and sisters in Christ at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Robinson, Texas 😃
