We could not be more grateful for our experience at First Christian Day School. All three of our children have been here for many years, starting as early as PreK 2, which is truly phenomenal. These past four years have been such a blessing to our family, and our kindergarten experience in particular has been amazing. Both of our daughters have benefited so much from the small class sizes. The individual attention and one-on-one time they receive with their teachers has made a huge difference, especially in supporting their unique ways of learning and helping them build strong educational foundations. The culture of this school is incredibly tight-knit and supportive. Communication with teachers and administrators is outstanding—we are always informed, involved, and feel completely at ease as parents. We truly feel like partners in our children’s education and are consistently updated, which brings us so much peace of mind. We love how involved families get to be. From field trips and special events to Christmas programs, special themed days, and even days that include grandparents, First Christian Day School does such a beautiful job of building meaningful community and memories for the entire family. Our children have soared academically, and it’s clear that the school holds a very high standard of education. Most of all, we deeply love the culture of faith at this school. The love of God and Jesus is woven into every part of the day—from PE to music to lunchtime. It’s not just chapel day or religion class; it’s a daily culture of reminding children that God is in everything they do. That foundation has meant the world to our family. We are so thankful to be part of First Christian Day School and highly recommend it to any family looking for excellence in education, faith, and community.

As a current FCDS parent and Spanish teacher for the past three years, I have a unique perspective. I spent a couple of years experiencing First Christian Day School solely as a parent, and now I get to see it through both lenses—and it’s truly special. From day one, I have always felt that my children are deeply loved, known, and genuinely cared for. Academically, First Christian Day School holds high standards and does not shy away from challenging students to reach their full potential. With small class sizes and dedicated teachers, students receive individualized instruction, strong foundational skills, and consistent academic accountability. As a teacher, I see firsthand how much the administration, staff, and teachers pour into both excellence and growth, going above and beyond to help every child succeed. FCDS offers a rich, Christ-centered curriculum that includes daily PE, recess, Spanish, music, and more, while fostering a strong partnership between parents and teachers rooted in communication and teamwork. If you’re looking for a school where your child will be academically challenged, spiritually nurtured, and truly known, I encourage you to come see First Christian Day School for yourself. The Christian difference here is real.

This is a wonderful school. My 3 children have attended for the past 3 years and absolutely love it! They do have SAT testing at the end of the year but definitely don’t teach just to pass a standardized test. They focus on the whole child and have a holistic way of teaching. The children are allowed ample time to play at recess, they occasionally have lunch outside in the court yard and have PE everyday. My children come home happy everyday eager to share what they learned in class and in chapel and love to tell us all about their friends.

My kindergartener attended the Elective Day School; he had previously attended Mothers Day out the past years at a different church and loved it, so I thought he would love this once a week program. Unfortunately one of the kids in his class was constantly mean to him and about a month into the program that said kid pushed my child down. My child told me he told the teacher, I emailed the admin Shannon to discuss the incident, she called me and insinuated my child had probably had an “altered perspective” on what really happened. I assured her that was not the case, I completely believe my child did not make the incident up. She said she would ask the teachers then and get back to me, weeks later and still no response back. Great concept for homeschool kids unfortunately terribly run.
