One star is generous for this church. Very unfriendly to new people. Had a terrible experience with the pastors, the children's director, and any staff. Never felt so looked down on as a person trying to do what the Lord has called me to do.

Very disappointing for a first Baptist, every state that I’ve ever traveled or lived. I always look for a first Baptist church to worship with. I’ve always felt welcome and apart of the church until this one. These people behaved as if I was a ghost who entered the church. When I walked in it was 90 percent white, I didn’t care because it wasn’t my white time in a church that was mostly white people, but it seems as if they were wondering what am I doing there or if I was lost or something. Not one person acknowledged me, said hello or even made eye contact, it was a bit full. I stood there with my 19 month old in my arms trying to find a seat. As I said no one cared, I was standing there listening for a while then I walked out, it seems as if this treatment is a Texas thing . Very sad I wouldn’t go back

When I was young I love this church. Being they would have locked out at different places with all the kids only a couple parents which also made it a little dangerous before cell phones were invented but, my parents have given so much money during the Lord's words and charities towards the church. When my parents asked for help when we were in need, when our electricity got shut off, when our landlords were about to evict us, they asked and they did not receive. So for 26 years I've been in search for a better Church. Even thought they asked for less then they gave. Yes it was in 1999. For they weren't great

We strive to help everyone with a pulse coming through our doors and provide them with food at the food care center.

I have grown in my faith tremendously over the last 2 1/2 years since joining First Baptist Church. The people are very friendly and show genuine love for each other. The ministries are very vibrant and offer many opportunities for believers to serve from missions, discipleship training, women and men's ministry, children and youth ministry, prison ministry, homeless, serving widows, and many more. My special needs daughter looks forward to worship every Sunday and freely glorifies Jesus. My youngest son started as a high school senior in the youth group and Pastor Matt made a tremendous positive impact on his life in just one year, as he now has served as a leader in the D-Now program. As a married couple, we have made lifetime friends through the fellowship, discipleship groups and serving ministries of the church. This church truly has a heart for serving our Lord Jesus Christ and sharing his gospel message to the lost.

Everyone was so sweet and welcoming. We go here on Sundays and use their MDO program. They were also so supportive when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. When people are asking for a church recommendation I always suggest coming here.

My family and I worshipped at First Baptist, Killeen for years while we were stationed at Fort Hood. My children were baptized there, my son's going home services were held here. The body of the church was welcoming and I felt filled and purposed. Always enjoyed life group with Jerry and Sherry Ward... they are truly wonderful. Sermons relayed the messages in an always clear and fulfilling manner.

We are a military family. We move every 2 years (or there about). One of the first things we seek out is a Church Home. First Baptist Killeen has provided that and so much more. Sunday Mornings are what we need to worship and prepare for the week ahead. Pastor Randy presents the Word of God truthfully and I always learn something. We have a great Sunday School class. The Youth Group is one of the main reasons we joined. It is a stimulating, wonderful place for my son to learn and grow. My oldest is involved in growing the college ministry.
