Very loving friendly church with a wonderful loving pastor. A congregation of people seeking to serve and glorify Jesus. If you are looking for a place to attend then you are invited to check us out. Only one service but has mixed style music. Expect to sing the newer songs along with the old hymns too. Everyone is more free in worship (than typical Southern Baptist Church) to raise your hands, stand, sit, dance as you feel led. Sunday school is offered on Sunday mornings and care groups for social get togethers. Amazing youth and children's activities. Wednesday is a big night for the Youth and children. Many opportunities to serve on mission trips all over the world for young and old. Many opportunities to serve in other local ways, nursing home, outreach, children, nursery, youth, women' shelter, etc. Many willing to minister to you as needed. Nice nursery.

My family’s experiences and the memories of First Bapt have been wonderful over all of these years. However, and unfortunately I’ve recently had a disappointment over some flowers I ordered for the church for Christmas service in honor of my mother. I asked the church to please take the flowers to the hospital afterwards, wanting the flowers to go to good use & purpose. I called the hospital a couple of days later to see if the flowers were there, they were not. I called the church and was told my request had been forgotten but they’d check the status of the flowers and I asked for a call back. I never received a call back and the flowers were never taken to the hospital. Today I spoke with the pastor about it & received a call back with no real explanation except the secretary forgot & had no response for why I was never called back with status of the flowers. I was also given a very halfhearted and insincere apology by the “pastor”. The whole situation has saddened me and my purpose was to bring joy to others with my gift of flowers to First Baptist Church and beyond. Lastly , I pray for the pastor and his staff to be good stewards of the Lord and His church in every way.

No more choir, only a band. Pastor seems to be a good man, but doesn't use KJB. No hymnals.
