I'm not the kind of person that goes around asking for hand outs but at this particular time in my life I am starting over and trying to work but it seems that churches will only help people that are not even trying to help themselves. I talked to the pastor of this church for some help in being able to work and get on my feet and instead of him just saying no he had to belittle me and my faith and assumed I didn't have a relationship with God just because I had not been to church in 2 and a half months. I could sit around and do nothing but that is not who I am. I am trying very hard to work and get on my feet. I wasn't asking for a hand out I was asking for a hand up. A hand that would help me to accomplish my goal in starting over here in east Texas. I have been working and not able to make it where I am currently at so am relocating so I will be able to make it on my own. I am a woman of faith and I do have a relationship with God! Just because I do not go to your church does not make me any less a child of God!! When Jesus walked this earth he did not say to the people that they needed to attend his church before he healed them or helped them in any way! You Sir are wrong!!! How dare you judge someone without even knowing them!!! I am fully aware that people use the churches and never do anything to help themselves, but for you to judge and put everyone in that category that calls and asks for your help is just wrong!!! I would never attend a church that has a pastor like you. One who judges and talks to people like they are beneath you just because they need some help. Im not judging you I am going by the conversation that we had so this is the impression you gave me. So anyone out there that needs any help in any kind of way DO NOT CALL THIS CHURCH!! Good luck to you Sir. I may have not gotten any help from you but I know my God will make a way for me as long as i am doing my part. God bless you!!

I would not go to that church if you paid me. Edgewood hates outsiders. If you weren't born and raised there, you will never be accepted.
