I'm an over the road truck driver, just passing through Denton, but if I lived here, Eagle Pointe would DEFINITELY be where I would plant myself! Pastor Richard Norris delivered a message today that not only convicted us (which all Bible-based messages probably should do😜) but lifted people up, and I saw people being set free, in Jesus. Pastor Richard and his team are doing great work in Denton. I must say that the high point for me was the worship. Charity, the worship Pastor, is a phenomenal talent, with an amazing and unique voice, and has the spirit and ability of a true worship Pastor. Her whole team is terrific. I'm somewhat of a sound geek, and the quality of sound that the engineers get out of that room is wonderful. There was nothing sub-par or distracting, on a practical level, during the entire service. I don't know the guys name who played guitar and led a song as well, but he is super talented too. Over all, the worship, the preaching, the facility, and the people, brought absolute joy to my heart, and I was truly blessed by them today! Keep up the great work, Eagle Pointe! God bless you guys!

This is a cute little church with a wonderful community of people inside it's walls. Also during holidays they allways decorate in a cozy homey way. On Tuesday nights they have a service perfect for college students, along with the regular Sunday service as well. The music is live comteperary gospel.

I attended this church at least three times in a row. If you have a young family, love God, and want a place to belong, this is a good community of faith! I have no negatives to write regarding this church. The people are real, and they truly love you. I will say, on a different subject, that as wonderful as this church is, it is not a New Testament church in practice. Before you think I am beating on them, please note the 5 stars. I am not. I like this church! What I mean is this: in the New Testament era, there were no churches with: church buildings-people met in homes, no worship pastors, pastors NEVER 'ran the church', ANY member of the congregation could bring a teaching/prophesy/revelation/utterance in tongues with interpretation. The word would then be judged by the whole congregation. Decisions were NEVER made by 'the church leadership' but ALWAYS by the consensus of those in the Body. ANYONE could lead out in a song, and anyone could preach (yes anyone, even women). You will not be allowed, nor is this WONDERFUL church designed, to do all or even any of these things. This church is really great, as far as Church Incorporated (the US Business Model style of church) goes. You can definitely get closer to Jesus here! But the Body of Christ in this church will never come close to what it could be if it's Orthopraxy matched the Church of AD 100 or even 200. (If you think I am being a hateful malcontent with an axe to grind, I am not. I have been a faithful foot soldier in the church of God for the last 36 years. The fact is, Church Incorporated has NOT taken our nation for Christ in my lifetime, because it has NOT DONE things the WAY (though it has believed the correct doctrines!!) the first century church did them. I'll give you just ONE example of what I am talking about: Where, ANYWHERE, in the New Testament, can you find two examples of One man's teaching/pastoring gift taking center stage, dominating ALL 500 other gifts of all the members of a local body, 50 out of 52 weeks a year? (Talking about the CEO/'Pastor/Teacher'). That simply does not exist in Scripture. (The ONLY guy who did take 'predominance' in that was considered a BAD church leader. Sorry, my beloved brothers and sisters! It isn't there. And it doesn't work, either! Just look at America today! (We have women who think they are men, and men who think they are women, pornography is rampant, full on nudity is permitted in many cities, the name of Jesus is dishonored everywhere, and false religions invade and prosper in our land. If you need proof what we are doing hasn't worked, look at unwed mothers, abortions, debt increase, perversion made legal, and societal approval of things the Bible has ALWAYS taught are abominations. People worship crystals, Gaia, satan, money, self, new age, to name a few. The Church has the same debt and divorce rates, suicide, child and spouse abuse, as society in general. Research it for yourself, you've got Google! I'm not making this stuff up! I am NOT hating on this church! I am not hating on Sinners either. Sinners do what comes naturally to them/us. I am simply saying, if you want a revival of righteousness, you have to teach the right doctrines, preach the right good news, and PRACTICE the right practices! We are far from God on all of those counts. But you will feel good at Eagle Point Community Church. It's better than most, and far better than nothing! God's peace to you all, and thanks for reading. Probably more than you ever wanted to read, too! (Source: Pagan Christianity? by George Barna)

Made a decision to be baptized a while back. I choose this church because of all the wonderful people. Soon after, my sister and her husband and my son were baptized there too.

Eaglepointe is my home! I used to attend a church in Dallas but when I moved to Denton for school, I was looking for God loving, people loving church and eaglepointe was a perfect fit. There are small groups which help you strengthen your relationship with jesus through studying the word and praying together. Shout out to Chris Guerriero for being such a loving and caring guy.
